Which tablet to buy?

Dts7 almost 8, would both like a new tablet as their ipads are now very old and very slow.
I've been looking at getting them a Samsung as dts1 wants a laptop to be able to use a keyboard, but I've convinced him that a tablet with a removable keyboard is just as good, however I've heard some great reviews on the Amazon fire for kids, so am wondering which one to get.
If you have either for your dcs please give me the pros and cons for each.

They would need to be able to access the internet for homework, have netflix/nowtv for car journeys and be able to download games.

My kids have the amazon fire they are really good, check before u buy tho as im not sure what u can download on it as we just downloaded youtube and games
Its hard wearing and even if u do get a crack it still works & doesnt go sharp so can still use it ,u can get cases covers etc. Argos do the best deals on them x

We have both Kindle fires and an i pad. I would choose the i pad every time for ease of use . Our Kindle fires are only two years old whilst the i pad is around 6 and it runs rings around them. I find the Kindles operating system really clunky. Also for homework the i pad screen is much larger and clearer and you can attach a keyboard to the i pad. If you don't want to go with apple, I would go with the Samsung Tablet.

Samsung tablets are good i had one ages ago i forgot did last me 2yrs.
My older boys have ipads but younger ones amazon fire
Id say depends on age id say wait to get a ipad until they are 13 so they can look after it better x

I don't mind staying with Apple, however I've moved over to Samsung and thought it would be easier if we were all running on android that way I can control it more.

They've had their ipads for 4 years now, which were secondand anyway and have looked after them very well so I'm not really worried about them not taking care of them.

I will definetly do some more research.
