I have one. Does he play fortnite - lots of fortnite merchandise is going to be out in time for Xmas. If not we have found that experiences go down well at this age. So for his birthday last month he got a segway experience and young driver sessions are also good.

TwoGinScentedTears · 26/10/2018 08:41

What's he into?

Mines into skills toys, like begleri, contact juggling, cardistry.

And he likes this skin things for his x box controllers. Headphones, a speaker pillow, young men's grooming stuff, magic the gathering stuff, raspberry pi components, rick and morty, coding warhammer, and all things Japanese.

Anything there any good?

If it's not an a screen he isn't interested these days!

He does a few sports but has all the kit! Not into fortnight but likes coding games (too much).

Maybe headphones would be a good idea.

Gaming chair?

HalfBloodPrincess · 26/10/2018 11:01

Ds has asked for the PlayStation classic this year - it’s a mini version with inbuilt games and is only £80 so I don’t mind getting it

I8toys · 26/10/2018 11:25

I feel your pain. 15 year old ds - just wants xbox games and cold hard cash!!

Got him some stuff from Hollister, we like board/card games so will probably get him expansion pack for cards against humanity. Exploding kittens is great.

What about doing a family escape room? We do these on holiday and love them.

  1. He’s having a notepad computer, a superdry hoody, a few bits and bobs. He’ll probably get money from GPs to spend on Xbox

Owner of a 14 year old boy here! It’s all PC gaming for mine and I’ll second headphones because mine seem to get through them like nobody’s business. Clothes wise he’ll wear anything with a label especially Hype, Sonetti and Adidas.

My mum bought him a teens driving lesson last year, you can do them at lots of venues round the country and he absolutely loved it. Although I had to put up with constant driving advice for weeks afterwards.

I second the young drivers experience, my 12 year old DS loves it. You can sometimes get deals on Groupon as well.
What about a gaming magazine subscription?
Last year we got DS blue tooth headphones which went down well
Does he like any particular sweets or chocolate?
DS loves fudge so we are ordering him a fudge hamper with all different flavours, you can pick and choose from loads of different varieties.
Then it's the usual trainers, clothes, smellies etc.

Disfordarkchocolate · 26/10/2018 12:46

We're going for wireless headphones and will add a family game and probably an activity. Lazer clay shooting went down well. It's getting very hard though.

I have a 14 year old boy. He’ll be 15 next month so need birthday and Christmas inspiration (he’d love a new guitar. The price of the type he’d like means this won’t happen)

Mummaluelae · 26/10/2018 12:54

Whatever the game he likes I'm sure you can get some sort of merchandise or clothing themed to it. For example like a Minecraft hoody

Mummaluelae · 26/10/2018 12:55

If he's gaming in his room, how about a mini fridge for his room. Gaming is thirsty work!
