Has anyone any idea when these open up? I've tried googling but I'm not getting anywhere!

I think some have already opened up, maybe for regular shoppers
I have a Waitrose slot in 23rd December

shouldidoitspoilt · 21/10/2018 14:51

Do you need to buy the groceries now
Do they take the money out your account now

Rachie1986 · 21/10/2018 14:52

Morrisons for delivery saver have opened and pretty much booked up from what I could see. Not sure if it was limited delivery pass people though

MrsPnut · 21/10/2018 14:53

Waitrose opened a month ago, I have the 23rd booked as well.

Rachie1986 · 21/10/2018 14:54

shouldidoit you have to put enough in the basket to check out (usually £40). I just put bottles of wine in! Then go in up to the day before (usually) and edit and add what you actually want. I take the wine out!
Money is taken on the day of delivery

I did have an "emergency" waitrose one booked incase I couldn't get tesco last year, complete forgot about it and had an email on the morning of the 23rd informing me my bottles of wine were arriving as planned..! I called them and they cancelled though thankfully.

PrincessWire · 21/10/2018 15:09

You don't pay till it's delivered. I'll maybe look into a delivery pass with Morrisons as I do prefer them. Thanks everyone

Tesco not out yet for delivery savers but I saw dates for non delivery savers. End of Nov
Wish they were out now. Stresses me out trying

NicoAndTheNiners · 21/10/2018 15:32

I’ve got a Booths slot for Sat 22nd. Got it two days ago.

Bumbumtaloo · 21/10/2018 15:53

Non delivery saver slots for Morrison’s open at the end of October apparently.

CherLooksYoungerThanMe · 22/10/2018 08:47

Tesco are usually November 26th for delivery saver customers. Easy for me to remember - mum's birthday. The buggers will probably change it this year and catch me out knowing my luck.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2018 09:09

I've let our Sainsbury's delivery pass expire and I'm currently considering my options as we've just had a brand new Aldi open 5 mins' walk from the house. Which obviously means no priority booking for a Christmas slot.

I'm going to try the weekly shop at Aldi this week before deciding how I'll continue.

Gettingthereslowly1 · 22/10/2018 20:35

Does anyone know when is the first day you can book a Sainsburys slow bear to Christmas? Is it still 21dsys in advance if the delivery day, even fir the Christmas period?

Gettingthereslowly1 · 22/10/2018 20:35

*slot near to Christmas
Not slow bear!!!

PiggeryPorcombe · 22/10/2018 20:37

Ocado are open for smart pass holders but it’s £9.99 for delivery Shock

PiggeryPorcombe · 22/10/2018 20:40

And £90 minimum spend Hmm

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2018 20:42

@Gettingthereslowly, yes, without a pass it's the usual 21 days. With a pass it's usually 28 days.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/10/2018 20:43

@Gettingthereslowly1.

Gettingthereslowly1 · 22/10/2018 20:44

Great thank you, I always mess this up!

Courtney555 · 23/10/2018 10:24

Ugh. I didn't realise waitrose was open for Christmas slots and naturally they're all full now. Arse.

I did manage to get a click and collect slot when I wanted though, (midday on the 23rd) which I'm wondering if it defeats the object...

PhilODox · 23/10/2018 10:27

I want a Sainsbury's slow bear! Grin

Ocado always charge 9.99 for Christmas slots, even to smart pass holders.

MrsPnut · 23/10/2018 14:00

That’s outrageous especially when Waitrose deliver for free and only a £60 minimum spend too.

PiggeryPorcombe · 23/10/2018 16:32

I usually do a Tesco click and collect but I’ve got a smart pass now so thought I’d book a delivery this yr. I won’t be for £10 delivery! I’ll accidentally book a click and collect for when I’m at work so dh can deal with Tesco car park .

NoWordForFluffy · 23/10/2018 17:02

It's blatant profiteering and would put me off them, quite frankly!

Cutesbabasmummy · 23/10/2018 18:32

Normally you get an e mail from Sainsbury's advising you when slots open.
