Hello all, so this year I'm try8ng to get ahead of the game and start my Christmas shopping. I do realise many folks are well underway by now... I have two DCs age 6 and 10 and various others to buy for.

My usual go to online places are
Toysrus - gone
Smyths - people talk of going through the catalogue but I haven't got one despite being previous customer
Argos - if desperate as I can't bare the massive stickers

Where do you like shopping? I'd love to discover new places.

I use Etsy for friends and some female relatives - I like to support smaller businesses (a plus if it is run by a woman too). For quirky gifts look at Firebox, iwoot (I want one of those), and Querkity. A shop for chocolate someone recommended on this board was Zotter. Wicked Uncle is good for kids too or Crafts4Kids for the craft loving child. I'm just putting these up as an alternative to the usual stores for those who fancy a change. (Btw nothing to stop you getting ideas from these sites and searching for a cheaper price - which I sometimes do too)

I use a lot of the ones already listed as well - The Works, The Book People and (of course) Amazon. I mostly shop online - and do one high street shop for atmosphere but don't buy much - no bags!! I make sure to stop for festive coffee naturally. Brew

Mostly online here too, toysforapound is brilliant got loads of decent branded toys this year and lots of blind bags for stockings.

Also the supermarkets, charity shops, car boots, eBay. I just buy a pretty box to wrap it in.

Primark is fantastic for character bits - Harry potter, Disney, pusheen. I've picked up loads of bits and planning to do the big Oxford street one soon :)

I try and do some on the high street because I do worry about the death of the high street and also the rise of Amazon. If not on the high street I have been trying to use smaller/independent places online. I'm not claiming to be a saint though, I do get plenty online.

Amazon and eBay mainly. I also usually get some books and crafts from The Works and they get a bauble each from Paperchase every year. I get them a chocolate set from B&M too.
