Anyone know when it starts? I heard this Wednesday? Also wondered if anyone had seen a list similar to last year with sneak peak of prices on. There’s a few bits I really need!

Do you mean tomorrow or next week?

InTheRoseGarden · 16/10/2018 07:49

I’m anxiously waiting for this too! Why hasn’t it been advertised yet?

Redrosebelle · 16/10/2018 08:13

Apparently it’s tomorrow. The stores have their toys out on palettes so I’m guessing it is. I just wondered if anyone knew of any bargains to be had!

Def tomorrow till 23rd- they have the adverts on the radio now. Can't wait to see what they've got!

Redrosebelle · 16/10/2018 16:20

I went to look today. Vtech toys, some hot wheels, Barbie camper van, playmobil aeroplane and zoo. Trying to think what else I saw!

Does anyone think it's worth going at 6am? I'm going to London tomorrow, so it's the o my time I won't have the children with me! Has anyone seen the usual preview list?

Redrosebelle · 16/10/2018 16:28

What time do your stores open? Mine don’t open till 7. I’ve been at 7 the past two years and got lots of bargains.

Is it a very good toy sale? anything I should know-?

InTheRoseGarden · 16/10/2018 16:52

I went first thing last year and it was busy but lots of bargains picked up. Not seen a list yet. Anyone?

FallenSky · 16/10/2018 17:14

Redrosebell, do you happen to know if it was the official Barbie camper van or the Steffi one? I've seen a picture someone took of their sainsburys putting toys out and they had the Steffi one. DD has the Barbie one at the top of her list so may make a special early journey tomorrow if they have that one as well. Thanks!

Redrosebelle · 16/10/2018 18:45

Yes it’s normally a very good sale but people queue from opening and after the school run it’s chaos. I’m
Fairly sure it was the Barbie one. I wasn’t really looking but it looked like the official one to me. Sorry I can’t give you a yes or no! It was £100 though.. and will probably be half price so you’d get it for £50? Which is still cheaper than the shops I can see on google!

Does anyone know if it’s just in store or will it be online? Thanks

FallenSky · 16/10/2018 18:53

That does sound promising, thank you. The Steffi one is a lot cheaper than that and £100 sounds about right (if not slightly inflated to make their sale look better! Grin)

FallenSky · 16/10/2018 18:54

Almost certain it's just in store corcra, it has been that way in the past.

MorningCuppa · 16/10/2018 19:00

If anyone has Facebook a page called "extreme bargain hunters" has quite a few pictures of lots of the items that will be in the half price sale.

MorningCuppa · 16/10/2018 19:01

This campervan is on that page?

Sainsbury’s toy sale
Redrosebelle · 16/10/2018 19:20

Sorry I could’ve sworn the camper van was £100?! Unless that’s the sale price?
Anyway in previous years stuff is always 25% or 1/3 off but the majority of things are usually 50%. And all the toys are reduced somewhat even their usual stock!

Thanks Fallen Sky

I went this morning and tbh it was empty with a few mums walking around but didn't see many bargains at all and a lot of the shelves were empty. I was very disappointed. Most toys were just 20% off. LOL dolls were down from £10 to £8.00. Other branches may be better stocked.

Willow4987 · 18/10/2018 21:48

My local Sainsbury’s had the majority of toys at 50% off. Some things like Lego were 20% but there was a 900 piece Lego classic box with plain bricks for £20 (was £30)
