Please could you lovely people help me out with some ideas for my dd who will be 18 months at Christmas. I am totally stumped!
She has a little pram already but as she isn't yet walking it's not been used.

Grateful for any ideas you could come up with!

I'm getting mine a play kitchen! DC loves surfaces and cupboards. And anything that's not really a 'toy' so I think kitchen utensils will be a hit.

My DMIL is getting a train set, although DC will probably still be a bit young, they'll grow into it.

Then just clothes and books.

DC has a soft rocking animal thats recently become a favourite, we got it last Christmas on groupon.

Also a play tent DM bought for birthday, it's meant to be a ball pit, but I just fill it with a few cushions and DCs happy.

Also favourites are - stacking cups, squirty bath toys, pull along toys (funnier if I run around with them) and a inflated ride on pony thing(?)

How about a ball pit? My nephew will be the same age, I've got him the Toot Toot Pirate ship and his mum has got him some Happyland stuff.

We got an IKEA play kitchen for DDs first birthday, but only built it when she was 18 mo or so. She adores it still at 2. But if your DC isn't walking maybe a shop till and some little bits, we got one from John Lewis for DD and she is obsessed with playing shopkeepers.

DD has just turned 2, things that have kept her attention for the last 6 months -

Wheelybug (check eBay if you're not bothered about it being brand new)
Crayons
Tomy eggs
Dressing up things, hats and particularly bangles and beads in a zipped makeup bag, she loves putting them in and out
Beach ball
Pop up tent
Happyland
Wooden sticks and shaking egg instruments
Duplo and megablocks
Stacking cups

Some great ideas thank you! Loving the kitchen idea - something big and interesting.
I need a clear out before Christmas, she has so many toys and teddies that just aren't played with, I need to make room!

We got ours a little push along kitchen for her 1st birthday that she plays with all the time at 2- I wish I had got a bigger one though. Mine was 18 months last Christmas and her favourite things with the best play value were happyland, an Ikea easel and a cot for her doll.

Thinking back along time ago.. DS had a bubble making machine, a music set (with maracas and other noisy things), a battery operated train that he took great pleasure in running all over the house, friends bought him a little push along trolley with blocks , a very traditional toy he loved. Lots of craft type things he likes, Klutz have some great ones. To have a look at what she enjoys playing with the most and try and get similar things isn’t a bad idea.
