DD will be 18 months at Xmas, what sorts of things would you recommend I buy her? Looking for things she would like now and also things that she may start taking an interest in next year.

I've bought for my 19 month old:

Happy land farm
Whizz World train station
Bath toys
Books (including Busy Books and Baby Loves Science)
Drum
Ball
Ninky Nonk
Wooden toolbox
Play doh
Cuddly toy
Play food (grandparents are buying a kitchen)

On her list for other people I've got:
Doll
Remote control car
Vtech toot toot animals
Finger paints

My daughter started showing interest in babies and dolls around this age. She’s nearly 3 now and loves getting them together for a ‘picnic’ and pushing them in a little pram.
Duplo is also a big hit and constantly being added to.
