Good, I had a tree in my basket before the last 'sale' ended two weeks ago - shocked that the 'sale' ended and have been waiting for it to come back on!

Is the BH 'sale' like the DFS one?! Xmas Grin

theboxofdelights · 09/10/2018 06:46

Yes it is Fluffy! There was a thread on here last month and I said 'oh the Balsam Hill sale never ends', and then it did!

Second BH tree for me so I know what I am getting from them. Only a narrow one as it is for the snug ... I think this is cute.

That's a nice looking tree!

They clearly saw your post and decided to spite you! 😂

Are the trees good? Our current tree is a few years old from a garden centre and is getting a little worn. Probably another couple of christmas left in it.

I love the idea of a real tree (but would forget to water it) and worry that the dog would eat needles or get them stuck in his paw.

So are these trees worth the money? We've moved house this year and I have a 7'2 very wide bay window to fill ....

Best tree I found name. It was my first artificial tree, I think it is 7 or 8 years old (Fraser fir) and obviously owes me nothing. Still looks good, or at least it did last year!

Have read posts on here that the customer service is not good, however, when I got my tree out in year 2 I broke the plastic collar on the stand. I phoned them up and received a complete stand free of charge, next working day.

I just want a second small tree this year. Also have a Fraser fir garland which is huge and impressive.

Xmas Grin fluffy! I knew it would be back today (well strongly suspected), they had a banner 'get £50 off if you spend £300 until 8th October' .... today is the 9th!!

Ahhhhh! I think you've maybe spent too long on their website! 😂😂

It was the Fraser fir I had my eye on. A prelit one so that we can having a relaxing family afternoon deviating the tree without the usual argument over lights😁

After the most horrendous year I'm not really feeling festive and would rather not bother at all but I have to try for the dc.

How long is the sale on for?

theboxofdelights · 09/10/2018 10:17

Not sure namechanged but rest assured it will be back on Black Friday.

Fluffy, I am from Yorkshire and would never paid full price at balsam hill!

I bought a Balsam Hill tree last October after eyeing it for a good 18 months.

It is the most beautiful tree I have ever seen. I have a blue spruce and you can see in the picture that the branches are different lengths meaning it looks very real. No pyramid tree.

It takes a very good while to fluff it the first time you put it up so bear that in mind, if you can see through it you haven't fluffed it enough. I took a good look at their photo of it to see how to fluff the ends of the branches to get that full look.

Everyone who saw it thought it was real. I got it after reading a load of reviews on here and a thread where people posted photos of their trees.

It does weigh quite a lot though. It fits easily into the sturdy bag provided which makes it easier to lug into the loft as you can grab handfuls of the bag rather than just the handles.

Enjoy your tree!

Forgot to update to say that my tree arrived in a couple of days, looks fine, but scrawny 😂 but I went for the alpine tree as I wanted a) narrow and b) different to the Fraser fir I already have.

I am sure it will be perfect for the space I have by the time I have fluffed it up and thrown a million decorations at it.
