MakeUpGirl · 06/10/2018 13:30

I’ve got DD 4.5 and I’ve bought her:

Shopkins dolls plane
Cutie cars playset
Peppa pig ambulance/med centre
Lego
Paw patrol stuff
Fingerling
A fire truck

I’ve spent about £200 and then she’ll get a few things in her stocking and I’ve made her a shopkins advent calendar.

She’s only got us and 1 grandparent to buy her things so I like to make sure I don’t miss anything I know she wants

Freco010 · 06/10/2018 13:41

Same here, gps give us money to buy the presents so want to make sure I get everything. Does make me want to cry when buying two pearl surprises at 30 each!
They haven’t asked for anything else so don’t want to buy just for sake of it!

It's a good list I've got twins girls who are 6 and we've bought
•Lol under wraps
•Lol pearl surprise teal and purple
•Lol big surprise
•Lol bigger suprise
•lol live pet
•Lol pop up shop
•Lol biggie pet
•Jojo bow maker
•giant unicorn teddy
•zoomer show pony
•lol electric scooter
•poopsie surprise
All x 2 Sad

We're new to the lol party so are trying to catch up
They've also had a pretty crap year so I've tried to get pretty much everything on there list x

MakeUpGirl · 06/10/2018 14:19

I’m so glad that we’ve avoided the lol craze so far. DD is shopkins mad instead and has never shown any interest in lols or hatchimals. Just hoping that doesn’t change now she’s at school

Scotinoz · 06/10/2018 16:36

My eldest will be 5 just before Christmas, and we're buying/have bought;

Electric toothbrush
Small Lego friends set
Some kind of LOL surprise thing
A few books
Board game
Playmobil something - a police car was discussed
Stocking containing junky stationery, hair clips, doll/teddy clothes

Her younger sister will get similar things.

She's asked for a 'car on a track with a remote control' for her birthday.

We generally don't buy them loads at Christmas and birthdays, it's not really fair getting a loads of stuff within a few weeks since birthday and Christmas are very close, but do buy bits throughout the year.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 06/10/2018 21:31

Dd2 has just turned 6. I've got her,
Rainbocorn.
Pomsies Luna.
Enchantimals house and dolls.
Dc superhero high school and figures.
Various stationary in unicorn/llama print.
Shopkins figures and lil secrets doll and playset.
Pound puppies campervan playset.

However she's written her list and has asked for lol dolls 😣 I'm reluctant to buy as I don't want to start a new collection.

anniehm · 06/10/2018 22:04

Mine are big now, but for her 5th Christmas we bought dd1 a microscope, dd2 got a telescope. We always do stockings with useful bits and chocolates, pens, etc. Pj's, new outfit, a book and some Lego. Then we bought one thing they chose (the elder rarely asked for anything other than pens, she still loves stationery, the younger would pick out dolls accessories from the Argos catalogue). Always avoided fad toys to be honest, Lego lasts so much better

charlyn · 07/10/2018 10:47

I have a dd who is 5 and so far she is getting;
Box of classic Lego
Frozen Lego
Sylvanian families candy cart
Toy dog that walks
A board game
Probably another sylvanian Families set or a Barbie

Stocking;
Lego rapunzel figure
Mini hatchimals
Hair clips

I’m lucky that she hasnt discovered LOL dolls yet although there’s still time I suppose!

UnderMajorDomoMinor · 07/10/2018 10:56

I’d get a couple of books (maybe special ‘grown up’ chapter book for you to read at bedtime?) and maybe some pjs too.

Mine are slightly older and not into lol/hatchemalls/shopkins. On the list is a Mr Frosty, finger torches, hema beads, duplo/LEGO

Soubriquet · 07/10/2018 11:02

My 5 year old dd:-

LOL under wraps
LOL biggie surprise
LOL good surprise
LOL pink pearl surprise
LOL pop up store
Hatchimal 1dozen season 3
Hatchimal 1 dozen season 4
Hatchimal island play set
Hatchimal island extra set
Georgie the pup
Pomsie
Fingerling monkey drop game
Fingerling frustration game
LOL surprise game
Books

Urm....I think that’s everything

Soubriquet · 07/10/2018 11:04

Yes we’ve got the LoL biggie pet too...

My Nan is hopefully getting her the lol interactive pet

lornathewizzard · 07/10/2018 11:07

My 4.5yo has

6 pack of hatchimals
Spider man dress up
Anna dress up
Baby jack jack

We have a large family so the kids will get other toys a plenty so we really try not to go overboard with them. Managed to spend less than £30 so far Grin

RicStar · 07/10/2018 11:12

I think don't over buy (although I am terrible at that) better to ty and spread things out a little over the year or everything doesnt get ppayed with - what about a game or craft set you can do with them - hema beads / jewellery making mine 4 & 6 love playing games - guess who is very popular (and not annoying as an adult). It depends of course on what they are like my dd 6 does not like any small toys / collectibles which saves pennies but she is hard to buy for.

Mumof3needswine · 07/10/2018 12:07

I bet the lol creators are loling all the way to the bank this time of year GrinGrin

Soubriquet · 07/10/2018 12:41

I bet they are mum

Especially since the must have house is £179!!

I am trying to get it for dd, but at the moment it’s extremely limited numbers....and the price puts me off

Mumof3needswine · 07/10/2018 12:56

The house is the only Thing on there list we haven't been able to get I've got one pre ordered but the delivery time just says between Oct and December so I'm not holding out my hopes on that one Hmm

Soubriquet · 07/10/2018 13:18

If you’ve managed to pre-order one, you should receive it. They won’t take any more pre-orders at the moment Sad

I’ve got the pop up store as a back up anyway

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 07/10/2018 15:47

My DD 5 is getting

Disney Frozen Lego castle
Rainbocorn surprise kitty
Hatchimals collegtibles nursery playset + a pack of Hatchimals to go with it
Soggy Doggy Game
Unicorn Fingerling
Enchantimals doll
An arts and crafts set of some sort
Lol under wraps

In her Stocking will be some glittery slime, some hair clips and other tat from Claire's accessories, Hatchimal blind bag, a Lol doll little sister, some unicorn stationary etc.

dementedma · 07/10/2018 16:35

thank God mine are grown up now. I have no idea what a lol is!
mind you, it doesnt get any cheaper. DS would like a new Bass guitar, DD2 an armchair she has spotted for her sitting room and no idea what DD1 wants but last year it was a cashmere throw!

Ixnayonthehombre · 07/10/2018 23:21

I've preordered my 5 year old the LOL house. Way more than I'd usually spend on a present but I know she's will play with it daily and she has the perfect space in her room. She has played with her LOL's daily for over a year now. I had already bought her a bloopie doll, a pomsie, an LOL framed picture and a polly pocket before I decided on the house but won't get anything else except a book and stocking. I know she'd love a baby alive though, may suggest that for a relative or have them buy one if the other things from me and get one. Or I might return the pomsie. I only my bought it because caught up with the hype on here.
