Ds is 9 and dd will be 3 around Christmas. I’ve struggled a bit for ds but these are my lists:

Ds
Playmobil police van
Playmobil police helicopter
Minecraft figures
Horrific poo dough set
Battle wizard game
Money box atm
Box of shocks jokes
Stickbot castle and box of stickbots
Bon jovi t shirt
Pick n mix dispenser
T-Rex skull light
Snap bots robots

Dd
Playmobil stables
Shimmer and shine unicorns x 2
Shimmer and shine figures
Washimals
Hatchimals set
Hatchimals game
Minnie Mouse Sand art
Paint my little pony kit
Play doh oven
Minnie Mouse figure and clothes

My lists suddenly seem uninspiring and when I put the things together they didn’t look much!

We are taking them to Disneyland Paris in April in theory and we had half thought we would tell them at Christmas with a Disney themed gift but now because of brexit we might not be able to go so we won’t be mentioning it until we know for sure.

They may not look much to you but to your DC they will look wonderful and more than enough.

llangennith · 06/10/2018 11:48

Maybe buy an annual or two for DS and a book for DD that you could look at and read together.

elQuintoConyo · 06/10/2018 11:52

That sounds enough. And it depends on your budget.

Tbh i had an older sister and we never compared who had the bigger pile, even though we were miserably competetive!

If you want to add extra stuff, cute things for their rooms are good - Minnie Mouse rug, Minecraft lamp etc.

Tiger and The Works are great for £1 art and craft stuff , but to me your lists look great...much more than my DD, I’m a bit of a Scrooge and she needs a new bed so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hoardernomore · 06/10/2018 12:14

Believe it or not those lists have come to about £200 apiece Shock

They will have a stocking each too...

Don't buy so much. They will totally take it for granted and it sets the bar too high for the future.
Just a few presents is plenty. Plus they normally get loads more from relatives

Hoardernomore · 06/10/2018 12:22

In our case no one else really buys for them apart from us. I have no family and dh’s Family have stopped buying apart from MiL who gives them money for their account which is very appreciated but means they don’t have many gifts apart from those given by us.

I absolutely believe those lists come to £200 each, there is a lot on them

Bakingberry · 06/10/2018 12:44

I'm glad to see kids these days like Bon Jovi Grin

Hoardernomore · 06/10/2018 12:51

Ha ha yes he likes Bon jovi and queen!

madroid as the OP's eldest child is 9 I'm sure she knows how much other people buy them or don't.
