Budget gifts for these people?

I'm hoping for the wisdom and advice from all you Christmas pros.

I love gift shopping but I massively overthink and get really anxious about choosing gifts for family and friends.
This year I'm allocating 15-20 pounds per head for anyone who is not my DH or DC.
I'm looking for suggestions of nice gifts for my in laws (PILS, SIL+Fiancee & BIL + Wife) and 2 x 6 yo nephews who I know love lego.

Just throw the ideas at me PLEASE - my mind is blank.

What are people buying this year that still nice but not budget breaking?

maybe you could get your nephews personalized lego figures that look like themselves? link if you wanted too, you could also get a wide frame, and glue a lego brick to the bottom. stick the lego character on the lego brick and put the bak of the frame back on.

Come over to the Christmas bargain thread lots of ideas.

Re the kids that like Lego - you can go through bazillions of bricks one by one on the Lego website and buy a big bag of interesting pieces 😄. We've done this a couple of times as a stocking filler for DS, he really loves it.

For the Lego nephews I would just buy them a proper set, there are loads of offers on at the moment. Home bargains have the large Lego storage bricks for £12.99. Which would fit in the budget nicely! Plus a mini figure blind bag?

For the adults - nice bottle of wine? Posh room scent diffuser. Depends what they are into. Happy socks are nice.

I know they're thought of as boring, but I've found that lovely soft bamboo socks go down very well - I've been pleased to get some myself. Many people inc. me don't often think of buying them for themselves. Have found really nice ones in Joules and Fairtrade shops.

Ask the children (or their parents) if there are any particular Lego sets they want. Are they into a particular Lego theme (City, Ninjago, Speed Races/Disney Princess etc). I am sure they will be far more happy with a particular set they are after - especially if it completes a range - than something random Lego related.
As for the adults. Well without knowing their interests I can't suggest anything. Have you asked them if there is anything special they would love to have? Again better than giving something random.

Is it £15-20 per person or per couple?

If per person then have a look at Woolovers

For the kids you can get a Lego kit easily

teabag20048 · 06/10/2018 09:40

How about a Lego watch or some lego stationery?
For adults you could get a nice box of chutneys/preserves. John Lewis do chutney Christmas tree shaped box.

Tesco have Lego camper van 3in1 for £12.50 just now.

If they like gardening how about a garden journal, that's what I plan on buying my dad this year

ChippyTea16 · 06/10/2018 22:30

Things I have bought for PILs in the past:
-gift box that I filled with whittards mugs, tea/coffee and chocolate bars
-DVDs
-wall calendar
-salt and pepper set for their caravan
-alcohol

For SIL:
-blanket scarf (tartan one) from oasis
-fleecy hoodie
-furry supper boots
-make up

For DB:
-whisky
-wallet
-chocs he likes
-Gym stuff like running socks, iPod arm holder etc

All these under £20. I like to look at asos as they usually have a gift section that I can at least find ideas for. I find cosy, loungewear type stuff always goes down well so the slippers/pjs/fleecy tops etc are sometimes bought new each year

ChippyTea16 · 06/10/2018 22:31

*furry slipper boots not supper boots Grin
