Day trip to Christmas market - Bruges etc

Has anyone done one of these coach trips from the uk? They seem very reasonably priced but obviously would be a long day with lots of travelling. Would it be worth it to get a taste of a European Christmas market or are they no better than the uk ones?

I've been on a day trip to Bruges for the Christmas market but we drove ourselves. I loved it and still have the special decorations I bought when I was there.

The European ones are miles better. I am German so as you can imagine I would always recommend going there.:--)

Are you anywhere Gatwick? Easyjet flies to Hamburg, you would be there around lunchtime and leave at 9pm. Easy to go by public transport from the airport into town.
