DS (3) has decided he would like a combine harvester for Christmas! We have a little metal one, about Hot Wheels size, but he now insists he wants a big one.

Does anyone have any ideas on what would be best the best brand to buy for a three year old? I might buy a tractor to go with it too. I have seen the Playmobil one, and guess that is robust, but not sure whether something like a Britains one would be better?

Definitely Bruder. My son has a good few vehicles and they have survived my youngest throwing them about.

We actually got the Bruder John Deere combine harvester for ds’s birthday a few weeks ago and he loves it.

We have the playmobil one and it is good. We have a lot of the playmobil farm stuff and it is all really nice. My dc like that the little people can get in and out of them.

We've got the playmobil one. It's lasted years.
We've also got a fucking expensive John Deere one that's falling apart after a couple of years.

Thanks everyone. I actually had a look at the Bruder one in smyths today, and wasn’t sure how robust it looked, especially at £50! It’s also huge!

I’ll keep looking, but glad to know the Playmobil one lasts well.

Have you looked at siku? Theres a webpage. Loads of different sets, vehicles. Smyths toys do them & if you have a Dobbies garden centre they do too
