Hi, thanks to this topic board I have pretty much finished Christmas shopping for my 6 year old, other than his one bigger present from us (rather than from Father Christmas)x However can't think of anything to get my 2 year old! Any ideas, what are you all getting yours? Need stocking stuff and bigger present ideas!

Thanks, really like the look of the tiles so will investigate those. He got a scooter for his bday recently (great suggestion though as he loves it!)

what about a bike? my ds got one like this:
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Paw-Patrol-Kids-Toddlers-Convertible-Training-Balance-Bike-10-Wheel-2in1-M14523/123046271435?epid=22020410337&hash=item1ca62119cb:g:zXEAAOSwAWtau3vZ

but you could also get a balance bike.

also at one point ds got a train table from a relative and loved it, similiar to this one:

all the best x

Wooden toy castle and some Schleich dragons and people
I love indigo jamm wooden garage with me toy Van car play mat and some cars
A kitchen
Art table or art easel and art things like play doh and kinetic sand
Toy kitchen
Dressing up clothes
Dolls house ( asda do a nice unisex one)
Kids kindle

Hope this helps. I'm a grandma and money was tight when our daughter was growing up and we are financially much better off now so I would love to spoil our grandaughter a little but I reign myself in as my daughter ( quite rightly) doesn't want our granddaughter spoilt. But I do love browsing toy section.

I agree with pp:
Magnetic tiles- best thing I ever bought my daughter. All kids love playing with them (so do I!)
Scooter
Medical set
Balance bike
Push chair for doll
Mega blocks
Farms/garages/kitchen

I imagine you have a lot already because of your older child

Equimum · 20/09/2018 07:03

DS2 has just turned 3, and he loves his older brothers Magformers. Other favourites over the past year have been Schleich animals, a bug finding kit, wooden roadway & garage.....

Chippytheelf29 · 20/09/2018 07:21

I can also vouch for the magnetic tiles. Actually bought them for my dd4 last Christmas but my dd2 along with her has gotten massive playtime out of them. Used everyday here.

marthastew · 20/09/2018 07:24

We also play with ours very often - and they take up very little space when put away!

Bellabutterfly2016 · 20/09/2018 07:26

My dd look crazy Happyland and you can build it up and family can all buy a bit

Bellabutterfly2016 · 20/09/2018 07:27

hannahbanana2007 · 20/09/2018 07:41

Wow thanks for all replies. Yes, as pp said I have a lot from older child so hard to think what to get but some great ideas here thanks. And definitely checking out these magnet tiles as so many have mentioned them!

These were the surprise hit of my 2 yr old’s stocking - so much so that I think Father Christmas is going to be asked for them again by a 3yr old:
www.amazon.co.uk/Faraway-Magic-FM-BP-BBSP-Bath-Sprudel/dp/B00A5V5Z1I/ref=sr_1_1?s=kids&keywords=bath+sprudels&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1537470195&sr=1-1

They fizz AND dye the bath a silly colour AND you get a sponge animal in the middle once they’ve disappeared. Perfect.

I’ve been trying to think about my 2 year old but think will get lots of craft things. Over the last bank holiday we got a box for £5 from hobby craft which kept her amused for 3 days solid while visiting relatives. I also want some magformer stuff. I’ve been debating slyvanian families but will hold off until she’s 3. Probably do more playdoh as well but otherwise lacking inspiration as she got a lot last year and for her birthday.

user1471426142 · 21/09/2018 14:03

Oh and bath bombs will be a stocking filler. She always steals mine but is very specific about what colour is acceptable.

Troika · 21/09/2018 14:14

Mine is getting a playmobil farm (the takealong one not the big one), some magnatiles, puzzles, games and tap a shape (not all from us-dp’s family prefer me to do the shopping then they send money)

Stocking will include a couple of extra playmobil animals/people, some playdoh pots (cos I can never be bothered to make it) and probably some more bath toys as hers are going manky.

Mine had these - not at the same time

Playmobil
Play Doh
Our Generation Doll
Shopkins
Monkey Mania

Hoardernomore · 22/09/2018 10:14

My 2.8 year old is having sylvanians and playmobil. She has some second hand sylvanians stuff and she really likes it. All the stuff I’ve got is second hand though, including for Christmas. It’s so expensive new and I won’t feel so gutted if she loses some of the tiny pieces now either!
She also has some shimmer and shine things, shopkins, littlest pet shop and hatchimals.
We have magnatiles already from ds and both like those. They also like sprudels and I usually get them a packet for their birthday and Christmas.

Kindnessplease · 22/09/2018 21:29

Melissa and Doug key house was a big hit as was the toy kitchen and velcro wooden food that can be chopped up.

stridesy · 23/09/2018 19:46

My dd will be 2 in December so thinking dolls house (bday) and kitchen (Xmas). Few dressing up outfit, duplo, word lotto, peppa pig tablet, playfood, spot the dog books, post box game, shopping list game, toy guitar and rucksack.
