My friend is very hard to buy for, she is in new relationship and I want to get joint gift.
Friend lives at home with aging parents, doesn't cook, has large disposable income and can buy all gadgets she wants, new GF is into performing arts and runs escape rooms, has small flat and disposable income but doesn't cook, cant stand scented candles and smellies, no space for 'stuff'. neither of them drink.neither have gardens.

Looking for an experience gift for them both? does anyone have any ideas?

Tbh what about making them a dinner at yours? Or throwing a (soft) drinks party so the gf can meet a few new people?

Friend comes to dinner every 2 weeks and will be bringing the gf to these every so often. they are both coming to pre christmas drinks party. I would like to get them something they can do together (or friend can take another friend too if it goes pearshaped?!)

National Trust membership
Theatre tokens or tickets to see a specific show
Backstage tour of the Royal Opera House
Subscription box. Hotel Chocolat have a tasting club with monthly boxes via the post.

There are loads of other monthly subscription boxes..... coffee, tea, gin, curry etc etc

Please don't give an experience gift unless you are sure they do that kind of thing.

You might as well burn £10 notes if they don't. We get given them- it costs me a fortune to get the name changed and then to donate them to charity, You cant get a refund and you often have to pay more to use them.

Theatre vouchers? GF into performing arts, they could have a night out at show?

Isadora2007 · 20/09/2018 03:17

What about some gift cards for a
Treat- so maybe a book voucher and Costa cards so they can choose a book and go on a coffee date? Or lunch/high tea voucher at a local cafe? Or theatre vouchers towards tickets?
I agree that an experience voucher could be a waste unless you know they’d definitely do it...
