Question cards for DD(6) to join in trivial pursuit

Hi,

I'm not sure this is the right place for this but I've had great board game recommendations here so I thought it was worth a try. My eldest DD (9) is currently obsessed with playing Harry Potter trivial pursuit - we have an old board and pieces and she was given a pack of HP trivial pursuit cards for her birthday. The problem is her little sister wants to play but can't answer the HP questions as she hasn't read the books. I started looking for some question cards for her - either from trivial pursuit or any other game/quiz pack - but I'm struggling to find anything for her age. I saw some wildlife cards but the reviews say they are really difficult and trivial pursuit kids says for 8+ and again reviews say its better for older kids.

I'm having to make up questions to ask her which is melting my brain! There must be a set of questions or a simple quiz out there that a 6 yr old can answer. They don't need to be trivial pursuit question cards, she'll just be happy to be able to join in. Any theme - disney, films/tv, animals etc. I can't think of a board game with questions for that age.

Has anyone come across anything that would work?

There is a Trivial Pursuit Family edition with a set of cards for adults and a set for children.

Not sure of the ages but that might work for you?

Thanks, I looked at that but someone had posted some sample questions and even my 9 year old would find a lot of them a challenge e.g. What gas can be put into tubes to make colourful bright signs? I think there's a range and some might be okay for my younger DD but it's quite expensive if she can't answer any.

I'll keep looking.

Just a thought but could you get a quiz book for 6yr olds instead. You could use questions from that instead when it's her turn. I'm sure we had one for DC but there must be lots on Amazon.

Great idea! For some reason I was searching for quiz cards rather than a quiz book. I'll go and look now. Thanks.

There's a disney trivial pursuit.

I'm selective with the questions I ask DD from the family Trivial Pursuits set - I just pick a new card if there's no hope of her answering the question.

Beat the parents has plenty of question cards you could use

We have kids trivial pursuit and my 4 year old manages to join in. I just choose a new card if he has no chance of understanding it, or make up options if it would be a bit difficult for him.

Thanks bluetrees - I was hoping I find a bitesize edition with just the cards like this rather than paying the £37+ to buy a complete new game. They don't have a bitesize disney version but I've just looked at the game again and found some disney top trumps quiz cards that might work.

Thanks MingaTurtle and Myshinynewname - if there are some questions that will work I will look for a second hand version or some cards on ebay.

Carrie76 - thanks. I haven't come across beat the parents but I'll have a look now.
