What toys does your 6ish yo boy play with in the bath?

DS loves the bath but is a bit past simple bath boats and pouring cups now! What toys do your similar age boys play with in the bath please? Ideally stocking filler size and amount! But would consider a bigger purchase if it's something he would enjoy for a while.
Thanks!

They had plastic bath bits in B&M last year. Small basketball hoops, tin can alley, that sort of thing. Very cheap though! I haven’t been in yet to see if they’re in there but they likely will be, or certainly something similar!

DunesOfSand · 15/09/2018 12:40

Bubbles!
Don't think they've used toys for a while now.

cactusplant · 15/09/2018 12:52

Barbie dolls

StacksOfBoxes · 15/09/2018 12:56

Playmobil pirate ship. And various jugs and pouring things (he floods the bathroom fairly regularly, so these probably aren't a good idea)

WeeMadArthur · 15/09/2018 12:57

DS has Dino mashers which he can pull apart and make into new creatures. They are water proof and he has a great time pretending they are sea monsters.

Jimpix · 15/09/2018 13:04

Another vote for The playmobile pirate ship!

hereandnowtoday · 15/09/2018 17:18

Octonauts. As many vehicles as possible in the bath at the same time.

ipswichwitch · 15/09/2018 17:23

Mine has a couple of rubber sharks he likes to use to terrorise his brothers pirate ship, while humming the theme off Jaws (he’s never seen the film, I hasten to add, I taught him that!)

ipswichwitch · 15/09/2018 17:24

He does also have a cheap B&M bag of plastic dinosaurs that all go in the bath too

Trialsmum · 15/09/2018 18:42

Ds used to play with Playmobil boats, lego boats and Octonaughts.

My 7yo loves floating putty to build all sorts

BrieAndChilli · 15/09/2018 22:05

Ocotnauts were a big hit
Playmobile pirate ship

He’s now 7 and plays with Lego ships in the bath.

Chrisinthemorning · 16/09/2018 07:55

Imaginext submarine

BangingOn · 16/09/2018 07:56

Octonauts and a range of boats from Wow Toys, they make fab bath toys.

lorisparkle · 16/09/2018 08:02

Octonauts were a huge success and occasionally they still are with my older children! You can also get little fish that start swimming when they go in water.

J3551011 · 16/09/2018 08:08

Mine was bought a little stand with test tubes in it, I think they were Ben 10 and had bath salts etc in them. He would spend hours with a few cheap pump hand soaps making potions!

llangennith · 16/09/2018 08:23

Playmobil boats, toy soldiers lined up along the top of the bath and pushed in, various sharks.

Alanamackree · 16/09/2018 09:57

At 6 mine still played with (and still play with) empty shampoo bottles and stacking water cups that release the water in different ways (single funnel/multiple holes/sponge) but it’s quite a babyish looking toy.

Would he like bath bombs or tinit bath dyes/ crackles

Or a selection or boats powered by pull string/balloon/elastic

StarShapedWindow · 16/09/2018 13:49

Mine son likes to make a Lego boat before his bath and then see if it will float.

AllAboutTheStuff · 16/09/2018 13:51

Lego boats that he makes and cars

LostMyRubySlippers · 16/09/2018 19:01

I got my DS a little football kit with floating penalty area where you flick the ball & try to score a goal, off eBay. Would be stocking sized
Also thinking about some of the gelli baff sets you can get...

Acunningruse · 18/09/2018 09:59

Thanks everyone, great ideas, I would never have thought of playmobil. The pirate ship looks amazing but £50 Shockis it likely to be on offer before Christmas do you think?

Playmobil pirate ship is ace in the bath, was DS main present last Xmas & gets played with every bath time so actually v good value overall. He also likes to use an old elc tea set & pretend he’s running a cafe. And he likes to wear his goggles & do a bit of scuba diving.

PaulMorel · 18/09/2018 10:10

My son had a ferry boat with mini cars way back when he was still 6 years old.

Acunningruse · 18/09/2018 10:48

Realised family will probably ask for ideas so can put the playmobil pirate ship on the list for them, thanks!
