Box of quality street, Roses and box of family circle biscuits !
I am very excited about this. Baby due in December so I feel I can justify buying early 🤭
What Christmas food have you bought?

None, it’s September.

However I will say if your baby is due in September get your Christmas cards written now (voice of experience)

NonaGrey · 14/09/2018 10:33

Due in December obvs.

FloatyFlo · 14/09/2018 10:34

3 boxes of matchmakers. Mint, salted caramel and the new gingerbread ones. On offer in Tesco for 75p. Be rude not to. I was always start picking little bits up and putting them away.

tinytemper66 · 14/09/2018 10:37

We have already eaten a box of mince pies 🙈

MeloCocoBanan · 14/09/2018 10:37

No. Mid October I will but my cake ingredient as I make my cake end of October. After that I leave buying anything for Christmas until mid December.

The more the supermarket Christmas is rammed down my throat from August onwards the less I'm determined to buy early. It's just unnecessary. I can budget and do 1 shop in December.

Don't het me wrong I love Christmas but not the Amazon and Asda Christmas rammed down our throats.

You however with a December baby due have very excuse to start getting organosed early.

Goldenphoenix · 14/09/2018 11:44

Have bought wine on offer, doritos big bags, appetiser, four big boxes of quality street and Celebrations. I buy it all on offer and stick it in the garage so we don't eat it in the meantime. The Tescos two tins of chocolates for £7 offer is too good to pass up!

Aprilshowersnowastorm · 14/09/2018 11:45

Few bags of fancy crisps from Morrison's!!
Boxes of Matchmakers that likely won't make it to Christmas!!

Getoffthetableplease · 14/09/2018 11:47

I saw chocolate tubs on offer in Tesco yesterday, but I know there's absolutely zero chance they'd make it to the end of this month, nevermind December, so as much as I love to be organised, I resisted Grin. Only non edible Christmas prep here!

ArtemisWeatherwax · 14/09/2018 11:54

What's the point, it's not going to last until Christmas! I've thought about buying some Celebrations while they are on offer but it's not a bargain if I have to buy them now and then again in October November AND December

Pressuredrip · 14/09/2018 11:59

I can't, I'd eat it. I always buy the chocolate gifts and kids stocking coins and selection boxes on Christmas Eve for this reason. Blush

lorisparkle · 14/09/2018 12:13

I try and buy something once a week once the stuff is in the shops. So we gave a tin of shortbread, tin of biscuits , box of after eights and 2 celebrations boxes. The celebrations are useful as an emergency hallowe’en back up and the rest is hidden away. Unfortunately my dh drank the wine!!!!

InterstellarSleepingElla · 14/09/2018 13:26

Not food but started buying gifts when I see them! I also have a bottle of champagne and Prosecco that we were gifted so have put them away for Christmas as I only drink on my birthday and in December!

stoneriverpuddle · 14/09/2018 13:32

I bought a tub of celebrations when food shopping yesterday but I'll start adding bits each time I go to the supermarket.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 14/09/2018 13:34

Yep I start in September every year! Matchmakers at 75p, kicked myself as I didn't get the terrys choc oranges at £1 and they've got back to £3! The tubs of chocs in Tesco's 2 for £7 just purchased as they go up again.
I hide them from my family and I don't have that much of a sweet tooth so they don't call to me! Crisps etc will start being bought next then wine and beer.

Saymaname · 14/09/2018 13:35

Yep! Quality streets, roses, celebrations, family circle. And a toblerone. That I ate.

birdsdestiny · 14/09/2018 13:35

Two bags of coins and two chocolate reindeer. From now on will pick up bits as I go. Love Christmas.

aperolspritzplease · 14/09/2018 14:00

If I bought chocolate now it wouldn't be here in. I've met never mind at Christmas!

aperolspritzplease · 14/09/2018 14:00

In November...

VeryBerrySeptember · 14/09/2018 14:02

I have defrosted the freezer: stocking up may now begin.

Mamababynumber2 · 14/09/2018 14:07

Thanks nonagrey I have Christmas cards that I picked up in the sale. Will have everything ready by mid November as baby due mid December.

Redgreencoverplant · 14/09/2018 14:17

I haven't yet but I think I will take advantage of the Tesco offers. Have a separate Christmas cupboard and I'm good at not eating anything in there so it's worth stocking up now :)

OliveOrTwist · 14/09/2018 14:20

Saw mince pies in the shop so had to buy them. Just had my first one. Using pregnancy as an excuse too Grin

SilverbytheSea · 14/09/2018 14:23

Already been through a few boxes of matchmakers... we have had people over so not all eaten by myself and DH 😁 I am partial to a pre-Christmas mince pie (or few) but haven’t seen any yet 😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/09/2018 14:40

Sainsbury bakery mince pies (shortcrust not flakey) are the Mutts Nutts (just to enable y'all Xmas Wink )

SymphonyofShadows · 14/09/2018 15:53

Various half price M&S chocolates. The food to order brochure should be out soon too.
