What do you want for Christmas?

I'm sure this has been asked, but I went back a few pages and couldn't see it. What do you want for Christmas? I can never think of anything. I also have my birthday a couple of weeks before, and can never come up with ideas. So far I'm thinking theatre tokens as I haven't been in ages. And I'd love some decent cake tins.

What about you?

(PS I am actually already getting what I really want for Christmas, which is going to family for Christmas dinner and not having to cook!)

Block heel black boots

Decent handbag, nothing too fancy just really need one

I want a new engagement ring as I lost a stone from my own antique one and the jewellery shop said it’s too old to replace the stone. In reality I will get money to go buy a gift for myself as he won’t feel confident to choose a gift himself even though I would love anything he bought me.

InterstellarSleepingElla · 13/09/2018 20:39

Mine's probably not what you are looking for ideas wise, but gym membership.

The gym is a two hour round trip (walking as public transport is diabolical to get there) so I stopped going as I just haven't got the time (nor at the minute the money). But I am taking my driving test in October so that journey will be cut dramatically. The gym improves my mental health and I haven't got the motivation or peace to do exercise at home).

However, second on my list, if I fail my driving test, is vouchers for intense sport/deep muscle massages from the clinic near me. I don't play sport but figure they will be best for easing the extreme muscle tension and stiffness I get).

Not exactly exciting or glamorous gifts but what I really want!

glagdy · 13/09/2018 20:49

HeyMicky · 13/09/2018 22:48

Cutlery wraps. We have no way of properly storing our "good" cutlery

Movin · 13/09/2018 22:52

Lightweight Burberry scarf

LeMesmer · 14/09/2018 00:14

I would love a new Kindle, one of the very lightweight slim ones.

A weekend away in a really nice hotel, where I don’t have to do anything and there are lots of interesting places to visit.

Neither of which will happen.

Theatre vouchers would be good as well. For baking I might rather have some silicone baking mounds rather than tins. I have a couple and really like them.

catsofa · 14/09/2018 00:31

Books! And gin.

LeMesmer · 14/09/2018 00:37

Moulds not mounds!!

PrimalLass · 14/09/2018 00:57

To not have to think about it all until December?

Anastassiabeaverhausen · 14/09/2018 01:44

I'd really like my husband to put some thought into it for once and not leave it til the 24th.

Cuttingthegrass · 14/09/2018 07:32

Snow

littlecabbage · 14/09/2018 07:35

A night of unbroken sleep.

PastaSauceHoarder · 14/09/2018 12:47

Ooh, I would like...

  • Promarker pens, either in pastel or autumn colours
  • The entire boxset of Malcolm in the Middle on DVD
  • Some new pyjamas, preferably Disney ones
  • Some lovely Body Shop bits in whatever fruity Christmas smell they bring out this year
Looking4wards · 14/09/2018 13:39

I'd love:
Bath stuff from Lush. We just moved to somewhere with a nice bathroom so for the first time in years I'm able to have nice relaxing baths.
A bottle of chocolate Baileys
A cute mug that I've had my eye on
Some amazon vouchers so I can get a few books for my Kindle

I've never tried Jo Malone candles but heard so many people rave about them... would like to try one day.

bellsbuss · 14/09/2018 14:04
