And I'm stupidly excited Grin
Have never done Christmas crafting before but I want to make as much as I can this year and give homemade gifts and cards.

I bought a super-cheap canvas a couple of years ago (A4 sized, i think, maybe a bit bigger). Painted the bottom white, thick roughly-applied paint, and blue at the top. Then i painted on a snowman and gave him 3D scarf hat and face. I then punched random holes all over the sky and inserted LED lights from the back. When it's turned on, they look like stars Grin it sits on tje landing and looks lovely. DS always volunteers to turn it on, he loves it.

Last year's Christmas cards were fingerprint robins: one thumb print brown, one pinky print red, pen strokes for feet beak and eyes. DS fingerprints, as a pp we had an assembly line going! We did on day brown thumb, the next day red pinky. I drew the feer etc. So DS didn't get bored.

I'm stuck for ideas this year and it is October tomorrow and work picks up..... Eek!

Loving this thread.

GummyGoddess
Gift tags! I never thought of that, thank you, will do a few of them later. Still itching to get the glitter out but I want time and space to do so.

All of them need anchoring. They’re just random floating objects on a white card. I’d get the kids to do a background, which you can scan and print out (and stick things on). Or better yet, find a lovely watercolour scheme to copy/ get inspired by and do one yourself and get the kids to stick the bits on.

So have some kind of colour in the background or a background theme?

Well, some ground to anchor the objects.

I found this, which is done with bleeding tissue paper so messy, but kids might like doing a couple of them which you can then scan and reprint and add the reindeeer to? So it looks like a snowy forest? You could add the white almost transluscent glitter to the white paper to make it glisten like snow?
