Ooh! Thanks Ricekrispie. I might go to Harlow Carr as last year we went to the Country Living Fair in Harrogate and I would like to go again. We said next time we would make a weekend of it as we don't buy each other presents anymore so the gardens would round it off nicely as we are RHS members.

Has anyone been to Lotherton Hall for Christmas? This is where I'm considering booking, but I'm interested in other people's experience.

For anyone else looking for ideas we absolutely loved Castle Howard

@mamabluestar we’ve done Castle Howard twice and Lotherton twice and I actually much prefer Lotherton. It was really magical and much better value for money. I liked that the children had personal time with the big man in red whereas at castle Howard you just sit in the hall with him and 1000 other children. If you book Lotherton try and do as much by twighlight as possible as the woodland walk and fairy garden are both magical in the dark.
