Are wilkos Blox compatible with Lego?

I have two questions. 1) As title, does anyone know if it’s compatible with Lego?
2) if I buy something like the bus or the racing cars- that you build and play with it (as opposed to use the pieces with actual Lego), what is the quality like?
I realise for the price it’s not going to be as good as Lego, but is it reasonable quality and not going to fall to pieces?
Thanks

Yes the set I bought works just fine with real Lego and quality is good enough too.

Fake Lego is crap. It is harder for kids to build, never stays together as well, and if you mix it up with the real stuff you spoil your entire build.

Buy second hand Lego on eBay if you are on a budget, or look on your local FB selling site for bundles from people clearing out their teenager's unused crap.

All the Lego booklets are available on line, and you can buy individual spare parts if you want to make something exciting. Or want something like a whole load of wheels.

I agree with PP.
Somebody bought DS some Blox and it was awful, the bricks kept moving apart from each other.
Nothing compares to the real Lego in terms of quality.

If you have a Lego fan then please do not buy them Blox. It is stupidly difficult to put together compared to Lego, it doesn't stay connected as well and to be honest its the embodiment of buy cheap buy twice.

Any Lego fan I know would much rather spend the same amount and have less real Lego than more fake Lego.

For someone not interested in Lego I suppose it would be a good gift but for anyone who is used to building with Lego it's pretty obviously inferior.

Can you get pre owned Lego instead? Ebay, Gumtree, Facebook, boot sales?

My son says if it's not the real Lego it's an abomination. Smile

The boards are ok and work with Lego but the actually bricks aren’t as good as the real deal. The sets look clunky compared to Lego.

Thanks everyone. I’ll stay away. My son is only 4. He has duplo at the minute so is ready to move on to Lego. Blox have some things he would enjoy, like the bus, but if it’s crap, he’ll just get frustrated and won’t play with it

If he's four then you'll easily get away with stuff from eBay/FB that isn't in a box!

This is in Argos for £17.99 atm. I know there's not very much in it but they like the carry case, which is handy too.

Most of my sons toys were pre owned when he didn't know any difference. Saved hundreds!
