K-Pop Korean Christmas!

My 13 DD is massively into K-Pop I have managed to get tickets for BTS at the o2 in October as a birthday present and she is made up. Her favourite groups are BTS, EXO and Seventeen. She also loves Lazy Egg (Gudetama), Sumikko Gurashi, Pusheen and all things Kawaii. I would love to get together a parcel of Korean bits and pieces as a Christmas present - but with Korea being on the other side of the world I need to plan early! Can anyone help with some reliable websites that I could order stuff from, or have any suggestions for things that should be in the present - thanks Smile

Unless I’m totally wrong and that’s not what you mean Blush
Have you tried kyyo website for merch?

How about a Kawaii Box subscription? It's about £13 a month and worth it. You get about 11 or 12 surprise items each time. It's like having a mini birthday every month. If you don't want to do that you can buy items individually from Blippo.com.

If you are looking for cute beauty items search Tony Moly and Etude House on Ebay. Lots of their products are affordable and very cute.

Primark have lots of Pusheen things from t shirts to stationary, and I found a few gudetama bits in there as well recently. eBay and Ali express are a good source of cheap Kawaii stuff, but to make sure you get things in time for Xmas you need to order in the next couple of months as it come s from China. Artbox is a website and London shop which sells lots of Kawaii bits, but as it’s all imports it’s £££. If you’re near or going to London the Japan center is great for weird and wonderful sweets and other edibles, and they sell ramune (a fizzy drink with an iconic bottle).

Can you tell I have a Kawaii/Japan obsessed DD Grin ?

Tofu Cute in the UK is good for Kawaii.

BluthsFrozenBananas · 29/08/2018 13:13

Another suggestion, last Christmas I bought my DD a how to draw Kawaii style book from amazon which was a big hit.

www.cutesykink.co.uk/ has some gorgeous things, half price on the amuse plushes atm too

Taffeta · 29/08/2018 13:51

How on earth did you manage to get BTS tickets?

It was an utter debacle when they went on sale AngrySad

Ggirl27 · 29/08/2018 15:29

@Taffeta I really don't know myself! I actually was shaking as I was putting in my credit card details as I only had 3 minutes to complete the transaction! Complete fluke is my guess - it took an 1hr and 45 mins of waiting in line though...

I had two windows open to get BTS tickets. No luck. Minutes later, as, sadly, you come to expect, they're for sale at vastly over inflated prices on those ticket websites.

LalaLeona · 29/08/2018 17:41

Following as my nearly 12 year old is BTS mad! I got some good buys at comic con earlier in the year but would love some more ideas. Every year DD's present requests get more and more obscure ..sigh!

Ggirl27 · 29/08/2018 19:17

@LalaLeona I feel your pain! That's why I started this thread - there seems to be a whole 'ARMY' of K Pop fans out there who know much more than me and I'm so thankful for the responses so far x
