Christmas Delivery Slots - Sainsburys.

I've recently cancelled my Ocado delivery pass, I do still want to have shopping delivered (and might just renew it) but I'm weighing up my options, different supermarket? maybe a mid week pass?

Getting early access to Christmas slots is important to me. Does anyone know if Sainsburys do this? Does having a mid week pass make any difference?

Hi, yes they do it for deliverynpass customers. You can order 4 weeks' before instead of the standard 3.

I get an order placed in early Nov, and keep pushing it back on a weekly basis so that on the day the slots are released, all I have to do is log on, amend the slot, then check out. I'll then amend up until the day before as usual.

Unless you were having your delivery the Thursday before, you'll need an anytime pass. They also don't deliver on Christmas Eve.

Thanks NoWordForFluffy that's a good idea, the Sainsburys website doesn't have an option to save a list which is what I usually do with Ocado, when I book my slot I just add all from the list and I'm done.

Not delivering on Christmas Eve may be a deal breaker :(

I do a midweek Tesco delivery pass and always get my slot (stay up till midnight to do it!) Just pay delivery if it falls on a weekend.

I think it's better to get it on 23rd anyway as there's time to correct any issues (not that we've ever had many at Christmas).

We always go out to family for Christmas Day lunch (unfortunately) so there's never anything we can't manage without if it's missing or substituted. I suppose it's part of my Christmas routine now to have a Christmas Eve delivery, I do a big buffet Christmas Eve so that's my main focus food wise, the rest is just regular food and some extra treats.
