What are you buying your 4 year old dds

I'm trying hard to compile a list for dd who will be 4, in previous years I will admit I've gone completely bananas and struggled to get in the living room on Christmas morning. I refuse to do this this year and have deliberately stopped myself buying too early although I have bought all my nieces and nephews and earmarked dhs gift so what are you buying for the 4 year old girls in your family

So far the list comprises of

Pomsie pal
Playmobil

A new bike but that will be bought at Easter once the weather bucks up

Last year all my 4yo wanted was a wheelie suitcase and a £10 dolls pram (she was set on that precise one too!). Both are still in regular use :o

She got the Kiddizoom camera for her 4th birthday and that also gets lots of use along with her brothers old wooden train set occasionally.

Mine wants a bike, an Elsa dress and a pink Princess crown. She's going to be really easy to buy for .

AGrinWithoutACat · 21/08/2018 18:00

I found a den building kit on amazon that looks promising and you can make different shaped spaces out of

Her birthday is January and we are looking at an outdoor play house for her

Enidblyton1 · 21/08/2018 18:02

A set of sylvanian family figures

WinterBabyIsComing · 21/08/2018 18:02

A pedal bike (upgrade from balance bike).

Enidblyton1 · 21/08/2018 18:02

And a colour changing umbrella

angelopal · 21/08/2018 18:02

Probably a styling head as she likes playing hairdresser. Was thinking the kiddie zoom camera also.

Nicpem1982 · 21/08/2018 18:10

She's got a camera a digital one that she likes but a styling head is a good idea, her bday is Sept so quite close

Ooh I like the sound of a colour changing umbrella!

12yo is after a laptop so I'm taking advantage of the cheap years for DD :o

Toy kitchen with all the bits and pieces. We will get her one of those Lol Dolls as she loves them even if they are plastic tat , it's her birthday next week and all she wants is Lol Doll socks!!

MakeUpGirl · 21/08/2018 19:48

Mine’s getting a fingerling baby dragon, shopkins dolls and a fire truck with a working hose
No idea what to buy as a main present because she’s already got so much

Nicpem1982 · 21/08/2018 20:02

Make up - this is the issue we're having to be honest, we're deferring her main present until Easter as she wants a new bike and I can't see the point of having that in Dec.

@Nicpem1982 you'd be surprised, mine love going a wander on Christmas morning and the last 2 years it's been lovely and clear so they have gone out on new bikes/scooters/roller skates.

Nicpem1982 · 21/08/2018 20:10

Maybe

MakeUpGirl · 21/08/2018 20:14

Nicpem we bought her a bike for her birthday a few weeks ago so I can’t even do that. She keeps saying she wants a new scooter but given the choice always wants her bike and there’s nothing wrong with her current scooter so I won’t buy just for the sake of it

Nicpem1982 · 21/08/2018 20:32

Make up - I agree

How about tickets to a panto, show or a day out instead?

I'm thinking of getting a family voucher for a day out at a local trampoline park as a joint gift to use through the holidays and DD is getting tickets to the Madagascar musical for her birthday.

Nicpem1982 · 21/08/2018 20:54

We do that anyway, we buy a couple of annual memberships to a local attraction and national trust membership too

Nicpem1982 · 21/08/2018 20:55

We rotate them through the month at the weekends

LOL's, she's obsessed

willhazboz · 21/08/2018 20:59

I have just done my order for my dd who was 4 last week.
Pomsies pet
Hungry hungry hippos
Lol doll (god they are awful but she loves them)
Playmobil petting zoo
A pack of 4 jigsaws.

We are just getting some stocking fillers and a book. That's it. Honest. 😬

It's the 2 yr old dd I struggle with!

Nicpem1982 · 21/08/2018 21:02

Playmobil petting zoo is amazing my dd loves it x

My ds finds
He playmobile 123 a little young for him. If rather buy the normal Playmobil as it has a much longer life span!

He ADORES the aquarium. Every birthday or Christmas people will get him the cheap add ons (pelicans, gators, flamingos etc).

He's also bang in to the new dinosaur explorer playmobil.

Art supplies are always good.

Games - he's hugely in to them fml . Yeti in my spaghetti, and also lots of lovely co op games now that are great for a 4 year old with winning issues! Grin

A day out to a theme park with $30 to spend on whatever he likes awful plastic shite. We ask family to help contribute to those.

Stimmyplip · 23/08/2018 01:59

Oh yes, ds loves new lunch boxes or back packs.

We also got him a dragon sleeping bag he loves.

Cool sheets and duvet covers.
