Struggling for ideas on Xmas gifts for my 8 year old daughter

Just that really.

I am writing a gift list and so far all I have is a new phone and Nintendo labo for the switch and some Lego . Other than that I'm stumped.

What are people getting their 8 year-old

I can't bear people who search out threads just to be annoyed or offended by them. If you dont like Christmas, here is a novel idea, dont visit a forum where people who do love Christmas gather.

I too think your DD is potentially getting quite a lot, but that is neither here nor there as you have only asked for ideas. Sorry it has got derailed by such a grinch.

I don’t go into specific forums. I hit “active”.

I buy my DD a season ticket to nearby attractions means it's used all year around and doesn't just end up in a cupboard not played with.

DD asked for a calligraphy book for her birthday and I got her some calligraphy pens from hobby craft and she's has spent a lot of time using it. So maybe something like that.

That's a really nice present calligraphy, that might be a nice idea.

My DD is very artistic and takes after her dad for that, last year I got her a bumper card making kit and all year she has made birthday / Easter/ father's and mother's Day cards.

I do a lot of quilling which she has taken a shine too as well. So that's another idea.

quilling and crafts stuff sounds like a great idea too.
Can't believe some of the responses you got.
Knitting and crocheting are great for managing anxiety.

Also, focusing on something that makes you happy, eg in this case Christmas and giving, is an excellent strategy for managing depression and other mental health issues including ruminations, and something that would be recommended by mental health professionals.
You carry on, OP!

Mine was really into crafty stuff at that age too. I'm also a bit shocked at the way this thread has gone, how on earth does a thread asking about Christmas present suggestions end up with the OP being lectured about her relationship status.

I find crocheting helps my mental health too and think your advent crochet sacks idea sounds lovely.
