Ohhhh my mind is already starting to think about Christmas 🎄 just love it.

I want to keep the cost down this year and focus on enjoying the smells, feel and sounds of the season.

Just don’t know what to get my 12 year old 🤔

JanuaryJuniper · 03/08/2018 12:33

SoyDora · 03/08/2018 12:35

It’s never too early to start discussing Christmas... on the Christmas board!

Radom · 03/08/2018 12:37

Well my husband turns 38 on Monday and his presents are mainly Nintendo Switch games so I say not to young if anything good for everyone as my kids use it a lot to xx

ToothTrauma · 03/08/2018 12:40

I’m 37 and I love my Switch!

LanguidLobster · 03/08/2018 12:40

I've only just finished an overlooked chocolate advent calendar from 2017 (well nearly finished, there's half a chocolate santa left), not ready to think about 2018.

though I found cards and xmas wrapping paper the other day

sueelleker · 03/08/2018 13:05

I've bought half a dozen presents on line already.

PanPanPanPing · 03/08/2018 13:13

Hop over to the Christmas topic www.mumsnet.com/Talk/Christmas, there are loads of MNers over there who would be happy to help Xmas Grin

JurassicGirl · 03/08/2018 13:18

I've made a good start for my dc. Got 5 - 6 things each so far with some amazing bargains. Won't think about main gifts until closer to the time but I think I know what my Dd wants - a tablet, so will hopefully get one on black friday.

Got a few bits for family but not much yet.

I always start thinking about Christmas during the summer holidays :)

ALongHardWinter · 03/08/2018 13:50

NO. NO. NO. I cannot even think about Christmas in this heat!

JoanneMumsnet · 03/08/2018 13:56

Sure you can, WalkingTed - but only in the Christmas topic! Xmas Grin

We're moving this thread over now before all the reports start rolling in...

Alanamackree · 03/08/2018 21:22

You might like to pop over to the bargain threads on this board too Xmas Smile

I may have secretly ordered a new Christmas tree for the kitchen... oops... I have a real one in the front room but the auxiliary tree needs to be fake as it gets rather warm in the kitchen. Went for a gorgeous pre lit thing from Balsam Hill.. 40% off and comes with an 'assembling' glove apparently.... they saw me coming!!

Justabadwife · 03/08/2018 22:29

I put together a nice Amazon wish list the other day, for all the kids we buy for.
Me and DH were just discussing what to get dd (9) she's getting a switch as her main present but I need to get her some other smaller bits as well.
I was also trying to decide where my Christmas tree is going to go. We've got new furniture in the living room and I'm panicking my tree isn't going to fit.
🎅🎅🎅

Loyaultemelie · 03/08/2018 22:44

I have all dd2 finished and started dd1 with her list done. Also been secretly plotting wrapping paper and table themes to take my mind off how crap things are. Dd1 must have similar ideas because she asked me if she could do a Christmas list for our cats today

sueelleker · 04/08/2018 08:18

I bought a Balsam Hill tree last Christmas. It's beautiful.

Duskqueen · 05/08/2018 23:05

I have already started stock pulling a few bits for Christmas that I bought off Wish. I also found a Buzz lightyear and a woody at a car boot sale. Grin. I have been looking on Argos for ideas for when I get my Park vouchers.
