Bit of a long shot, but here goes. Has anyone a copy of last years m and s Christmas food catalogue?
I'm looking at getting a rough price for this year
Tia

I can't help with an M&S catalogue but it is possible that I have a Booths catalogue and from memory they charge similar prices. We moved house recently and it might have been a victim of my decluttering but I can have a look in the morning.

NoWordForFluffy · 06/07/2018 23:23

I definitely have the Booths one (hardback thing of beauty!). I don’t think I got an M&S one, just ordered online. But Woolly is right, it’s similar prices.

NerosFiddle · 07/07/2018 06:44

Thank you both.

What kind of thing do you want prices for? I can add photos of the Booths' book.

NerosFiddle · 07/07/2018 09:18

Turkeys, hams and pre-made sides.
They have the party selections all year round, so I'm assuming it's about the same price.

Yeah, I think they're similar prices year round.

I'll take photos later for you as we have just left the house.

This might take a few posts!

Thanks so much Fluffy. That's my evening sorted.

Booths is amazing. I think it’s nicer than M&S food actually. And the prices are much of a muchness too.

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/07/2018 20:39

I think Booths deliver if your order is over a certain amount (£50?) - easy to rack up if you are getting the big ticket items and much better than queuing at stupid o'clock in Marks and Sparks.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/07/2018 20:45

They do deliver, but some stuff from the catalogue can’t be delivered. It’s very easy to get to the minimum spend, I agree!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/07/2018 20:52

I found the Waitrose 2017 Christmas magazine when I was sorting out the recycling.
I calmly put it in the bag (I read it when I got it, but it didn't grab me) I don;t want to start reading it and planning just yet.

NerosFiddle · 07/07/2018 20:58

I'm in Ireland so Booths don't deliver to me Sad

Xmas Grin The NDNs already think I'm 2-Sandwiches-Short , I don't want to give them concrete evidence by raking through bins !
NoWordForFluffy · 07/07/2018 22:22

Ah. Sod what they think, go rummage!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/07/2018 23:08

I've got it , the house prices in my street will plummet I tell yah!

I'll have a read through it properly tomorrow, there's a photo of some nice looking roast potatoes on the cover but they're goose fat so no good for me.
If Nigel Slater is in it, I might keep it Xmas Wink

NoWordForFluffy · 08/07/2018 06:32

Nigel is a bit of a joke in this house with his left over bits of this and that, which are enormous for left overs and always wrapped in brown paper! That's not a left over, Nigel!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/07/2018 18:09

Xmas Grin , I infuriate the DC by "Hestoning" their food ( stacking up chips or chicken, making little towers out of sausages) and "Nigelling" food (something on a spoon that is eased onto the plate by careful tipping, not just thwacked on in a lump)

YY to the little leftovers "I just fancy cooking something , let's see what there is" and its like Harrods foodhall.

spotspot · 08/07/2018 18:45

I'm pretty sure we've still got ours. What info did you want?

NerosFiddle · 08/07/2018 20:12

@spot turkey and sides.

I had a read through last years threads and there were a little t of complaints about m and s. Might have to go back to the drawing board.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/07/2018 20:19

What kind of complaints, Nero? I found last year painless there. 2014, on the other hand, was awful!
