We're going down to London for the day with the DC (7&9). We've booked the circus at winter wonderland, and DD wants to go to the M&Ms store (Shock) - any other tips for things we could do?

If you’re going to the M&Ms store, the Lego store is opposite (although there may be a queue to get in).

Lego store hasn't been that bad lately - we've been a couple times. Fingers crossed.

Disney Store isn't that far a walk from M&M store and Lego store - just up Regent Street and then left on Oxford Street. Along that walk is Hamleys (Regent Street) and they have a lovely display in their window.

The Christmas Market in Leicester Square should still be going on there as well (just outside the M&M store) so you might enjoy a little wander in there.

Thank you all Smile Sounds like a trip to Leicester Square should keep everyone happy!

Chinatown (very short walk from Leicester Square) always worth a visit and some food. I wouldn't spend too long in winter wonderland, it's packed and expensive. The south bank is always worth a walk down, visit the Tate modern and have a swing on the swings in the main hall, cross over the river to St Paul's. A boat trip is always fun, you can sail down to Greenwich on the Clipper (cheaper than other boat trips). The Emirates cable car is good and doesn't tend to be too busy. I'd avoid any 'attractions' like London eye etc as the queues will be massive. If you're in the Hyde park for winter wonderland you could get to the natural history museum, science museum and V&A quite easily. We like a little wander round harrods and jelly beans in the food hall. I love London, can you tell?

Thank you all for your suggestions. We had a lovely (though very cold!) day. In the end we were quite underwhelmed by winter wonderland - very expensive rides and no different from any other fair really - but Zippos circus was AMAZING and brilliant value. And we also managed M&Ms world and hamleys Smile
