I always love to hear the different traditions held by families. Christmas is one of my favourite times of year and having younger kids I love how the magic of Christmas still has them captured, I don’t think I have too many years left with my 9 year old as he’s been curious and asking a lot of questions.
Anyway since before I can remember me and my bro used to wake up at around 7 and open presents before going to my Nan’s house. Since we all moved in together and have now moved town 10 years ago we’ve adapted it slightly.
The kids usually wake up around 6.30, they open their stockings, while we wait for the rest of the house to wake up. When everyone gets up usually half hour later, we open tree presents and presents from Santa. Then we have bacon sandwhiches, whilst the kids play with the toys we ,cook dinner. After dinner we all chill for 3 hours then in the evening we play cards whilst watching eastenders.
