what are you up to today?

I am currently sat in soft play letting DS (4) run off steam!
Called in our local, fairly small Tesco on the way for some batteries and blinis - it was insane .
Will let DS play and have his lunch here before we go home to chill and prep for tomorrow!
DH is out delivering a present then home to do some prep too.

Once DS is in bed we will watch something with a nice drink.

So nothing too exciting but a nice relaxed day for us!

We were at a family gathering at my mum and dads yesterday and are hosting people tomorrow and boxing day afternoon so been busy.

I will be doing the cleaning today. My usual weekend clean. And need to wrap a few final presents. Then do Father Christmas with ds later.
Christmas Eve is a normal day for us, the only difference is hanging up the stocking and leaving cookies and a drink for Father Christmas.
(My dh is a chef and in the past he has had to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Last year he got only Christmas Day off. But this year his place of work is closes christen and Boxing Day. And he was very very lucky to have been given today off as well. So this is the first Christmas in yeas that he hasn't had to work any of the days. Sorry to anyone who's partner is working, but I'm selfishly very very happy my dh isn't this year).

I've cleaned downstairs (dh will do upstairs) and had a bath. Currently watching Christmas CBeebies.
After lunch we are going to visit my elderly Nan who is in a nursing home. Fortunately it's right next to a woodland so we will take her out and walk the dog and get the dc to burn off some energy all at the same time. Then it's kfc for dinner, bath the dc and hopefully they will have an early night so I can do the last minute wrapping and put the presents out. I'm so excited to see their faces tomorrow
