Christmas day dinner.

What will you be serving and where will it be bought from?

We usually go M&s but been told it's a bit 'meh' this year so looking for inspiration!

Starter: My Mum’s Pate

Main: 5 bird roast (Lidl)
Red cabbage in apple
Mashed carrots and parsnips
Sprouts
Pigs in blankets
Yorkshire pudding
Goose fat roast potatoes
My mum’s chestnut stuffing
Gravy

Pudding: Jamie Oliver chocolate tiramisu that DS1 and I are making tomorrow.

We are going to our favourite local restaurant.

All having Italian meats and cheeses to start.
DH: sea bass/ Christmas pudding
DS: turkey/ hot chocolate pudding
Me: walnut ravioli/ hot chocolate pudding

Lambs lettuce salad with fried mushrooms (aldi) and homemade dressing.
Fondue chinoise (with beef, lamb, calf and venison) and sauces (local butcher), carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower. Potato, sweet potato and parsnip chips (all veg from aldi). Haven't decided on a desert yet but was thinking about some kind of chocolate cake or pudding with ice cream.

Everything from Waitrose/Ocado.

Just for ease of delivery, really. Meat os butcher quality, veg is good.

I might pop out to M&S tomorrow for their trifle and some ore stuffing.

We usually do Aldi for booze, but DH has a £50 voucher forMajestic Wines, so he's going there this year.

We're going to a Turkish restaurant for dinner. They're doing traditional turkey or beef dinners, a vegetarian option but I'm going to have the sea bass for a change.

Me and hubby - Sirloin steak, tobacco onions, mash, roasties, carrots, honey glaze parsnips, peas and mushrooms. With peppered sauce
Kids - chicken fillets in peppered sauce, cocktails, stuffing, veg and roasties.
Mum - will have same veg, potatoes etc but bring her own veggie option

Dessert - apple tart, cheesecake and icecream

Can someone tell me how hot gammon/ham works with gravy, bread sauce and cranberry?

We always have ham with either parsley sauce or baked apricots with a few whisked onto the liquor. Can't get my head around it on the plate with poultry gravy.
