12 year old godson - stumped !

MN Christmas gurus please don't mock me for my last minute plea !
DH needs a £25 gift for his 12 year old godson who we rarely see.
He had a voucher for his birthday very recently so really we would love to get him a proper gift - any ideas on something that would be universally appreciated ?

I got my 13 yr old nephew a virtual reality headset to use with his phone. Along with a remote control it cost £25

Little lights can you share a bit about the contents we got nervous that it might not be all appropriate for a 12 year old ?
Am definitely keeping it up my sleeve for future tricky to buy for people!

I'd second a VR headset or if you have time to go shopping an item of sportswear. Nike, Adidas and Hype are the usual favoured brands of boys that age. You should get a nice hoody/top for that budget.
