Is a big stuffed toy a suitable gift for a 3 year old boy, I've got one for 3yo dd, but seems different for a boy somehow?

Both my 4yo ds and 5yo ds have asked santa for a giant teddy this year, so in their opinions it’s very definitely suitable.

My two boys just picked out large stuffed toys at the Disney store two days ago. They are 8 and 11. Grin I think for a 3yo is fine.

My 12yo DS is getting a big Winnie the Pooh!

Of course it is, he’s 3!!

My 9 year old DS loves his soft toys

Lacking that's what I got, the big Disney one?

Go to a Build a Bear shop. You'll see plenty of boys and girls selecting cuddly toys.

Of course it’s fine, as long as the boy in question likes soft toys.

My 5 year old ds is getting a couple for Christmas. Not large ones, as we don’t have the space for them (because of the other million soft toys already on his bed Grin) but ones he will love nonetheless.

What a depressing question. Why on earth should a 3 year old boy not have a soft toy? Can you catch gay off a teddy? Xmas Biscuit

Alicetherabbit · 21/12/2017 13:12

Gary It's not a catching gay question at all, this little boy is very special and I'd like to get him something he'll love.

By coincidence over lunch my 6 year old has been sadly discussing the fact that he didn’t put a beanie boo dog he wants on his letter to Father Christmas. I definitely think with boys we can be more inclined to think they’ve grown out of such things, but I’m not sure it is the case. I made him a bed for his build a bear last year, and this year his grandparents gift to them both is build a bear vouchers. I got the Winnie, Tigger for my dd, this year she’s getting piglet for her birthday and I got Roo for a 3 year old boy which went down well. They are lovely.
