When is too early to buy meat?

Most meat I've seen in shops goes off before the 25th!

im going tomorrow, i dont mind what meat we have for Christmas day though so will just pick whatever has the best date on

I'm thinking of going Saturday morning. we have plans tomorrow so it's either Saturday (when it will be packed) or today.
