Isn't there a blue star on the packaging that indicates you can freeze them?

Although tbh, they're mince pies. I can't see any reason why you shouldn't freeze them.

Defrost: if you're just having a secret sneaky one, blitz in microwave for 30 seconds on full.

Otherwise just take them out of the freezer the night before / a few hours before.

Always. The Sainsburys ones from their bakery are really very nice. I have a chest freezer in the garage and there are 4 x 4 packs in there. I like a mince pie from October through to April.

I just read the back if the package and it says not suitable for home freezing oh no :(

I would disregard that notice OP. It's generally because the consistency of the food may change because of freezing. Try it and see! There's nothing in mince pies that will do you any harm.

We usually make some of our own, then also buy a pack or 3 from our local bakers shop. Last year some of latter went in freezer and were still being eaten in the spring/summer 😂😂

This year I suggested not buying them but DS likes them, I have told him to make sure they get eaten!!

I had lots of leftover shop bought ones one year so removed from the boxes , put into freezer bags and they were perfectly fine when defrosted (and eaten whilst sitting in the garden the following August)!
