Christmas cake experts - 'feeding'advice needed

Won't bore you with the reasons why but have forgotten to feed my Christmas cake. I did so for the first time at the weekend, just a couple of spoons of brandy. Usually I feed it weekly. Would feeding it before the weekend make it too wet? Or how often can I feed it between now and Christmas?

Xmas Blush Mine hasn't been fed either (TBH, DH put it 'somwhere safe' , so its gone off my ToDoList), I'll probably do one feed later this week.

I use a skewer and a tiny jug of Amarretto and just stab it and dribble the liquid in. Doesn't get too soggy, but I leave it naked on the plate overnight before I do the marzipan , so it'll dry a bit

Thank you, yes that's how I do mine but usually so it once a week for a month or so. I might see how it looks mid week and add another little bit
