Good idea on the dice :)
He has codenames and harbour, I'll get another from your list, thank you!

The list provided is great. Would say both Kodama and Patchwork are beautiful games and great for 2 players (Kodama has up to 5). They are also fairly quick games too.

If you can stretch, pandemic is a great game. Unfortunately it's double your budget but maybe something to consider as it has endless playability

Exploding kittens is a great game. Tsuro is a really lovely game too.

Carcassone is really good.

Stefoscope · 18/12/2017 18:15

If he likes retro video games, Boss Monster is a fantastic little deck building game which falls within your budget.

we are big board game players, one of the best ones we have had is 221 Baker Street. its a bit like cludeo but more interesting. really recommend it. www.johnlewis.com/gibsons-221b-baker-street-game/p1985712?s_kwcid=1dx39700020748881774&tmad=c&tmcampid=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIh6KLpZeU2AIVqr3tCh0PVAB2EAAYAiAAEgIYVvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Second 221b Baker Street.

Also a big fan of hey that's my fish

Marv1nGay3 · 18/12/2017 18:28

I would suggest ‘Go’ if you don’t already have it. Ancient Chinese board game, more complex than chess. Hours of fun!

Furgggggg12 · 18/12/2017 20:15

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions, this will keep me going for a few years Grin

Soggy doggy maybe not so much but thanks for the laugh Kids 🐶 😂
