When I was younger , I bought of a site a DVD that had come out of the newspaper and gave it a gift as I had nothing else to give.

One of my friends (A) asked me what to buy a mutual friend (B) for her 30th. I told him to buy a specific pair of earrings which were lovely. However, B did not have pierced ears and I didn’t realise. B then complained to me after the event about how she couldn’t believe A had bought her said earrings and how could he not know she didn’t have pierced ears after being friends for 15 years!!

I once bought ds1 some shop mannequins. I must have had a total brain fart moment. For some reason I thought he would be delighted. He was not. It was his main present too. He was 14 ive not been allowed to forget it. I’ve since made up for it

I bought my elderly grandma a bath bomb from Lush. She shrieked that it stank and refused to use it. Whoops.

The year I knew I was leaving exh I told him I wasn't getting him anything. So I didn't.

When I was in school in the olden days I bought a friend a set of clip on covers for Nokia phone for her birthday, about 5 covers in different designs. I was really pleased with what I'd bought and thought she would be thrilled she got a new phone for her birthday. I was gutted because I had been so pleased with what I'd got and now it was useless, even worse I hadn't kept the receipt and when she took them back to woolworths showing my age They had been greatly reduced so she only got a few £ back she was great about it but I was really disappointed and I felt really bad, it was over half of my life ago and as soon as I saw the title of this thread it came to mind
