Bugger. Was hoping to get away with a family present this year as both " children" would be away. They are back and I normally get them gifts and will be seeing them in the week as they have invited me for drinks,
Can't be alcohol as both already in the trade and get discounts etc.
They are quite posh and very lovely. No idea what to get that's cheap and quick.

Cheeseboard

Brandnewstart · 17/12/2017 23:40

Cinema tickets?

Goshthatwentwell · 18/12/2017 06:31

Thanks. Cheeseboard won't work as I'll be taking cheese/ nibbles along to the drinks anyway.
Cinema ticket would be vouchers - would need to be £15+ each. Another £30 is beyond the budget.
I was going to get The Ordinary face peel/serum/something as their range is so cheap and unusual.- but the daughter has bloody amazing skin anyway.

Lots of gifts for that age group on Asos at the moment and they have 30% off gifts.

BlueChampagne · 18/12/2017 13:05

Fancy-looking chocs?

Brandnewstart · 18/12/2017 16:37

You could do a night in pack; socks, a nice mug, hot choc etc.
Re the cinema, I would get them a £10 voucher each, it's about the price of a ticket.

Brandnewstart · 18/12/2017 16:44

Ooh you've got me looking at The Ordinary website now! I really don't have the money but it all looks so good Grin

Prizepudding · 18/12/2017 18:04

Scratch map if they have travelled, you can get them in sainsburys for £10

Hand cream, cute reusable bags (Kath Kidston ones are pretty and super durable), funky little book about something they like / city they live in?

Goshthatwentwell · 18/12/2017 18:30

Thanks all. They normally get me a Lush box otherwise that would be great.
He's getting socks and she's getting some pretty lights. I went to the" big" town after work. Couldn't cope with real life shopping today. There is just so much stuff everywhere.Impossible to choose.

I meant an actual cheeseboard, not cheese!!

GrouchyKiwi · 18/12/2017 19:19

What about fun games like Dobble or Pass the Pigs?

You can get them for less than £10 on Amazon. They're about £10 in Tesco at the moment too.

Do you know what packing cubes are? They are zipped bags for travel. You put all your underwear in one, tops in another and so on. Very good if travelling around.

There are tons of brands but here are some good value ones on Amazon. I have a different brand and I love them. Especially useful when sharing a suitcase with DH on a weekend away.
