A realistic looking space ship that can be played with

Anyone know of anything like that? The playmobil one is too baby-ish and toy-like. The realistic models too fragile! There must be an in between? Oh, an child dislikes doing Lego!! It's for an 8 yr old... ideally I think they'd like a set. With astronauts and aliens etc... There's no hope!
