Presents for family and friends are just about sorted out, but I'd like to top up the packages for parents with some nice chocolates. Are there any good deals on at the moment? I'm happy to try high street or order online. I might ask the DCs to bake some biscuits but I don't know how they would travel.

Supersized box of Thornton’s are on offer for £5 at Morrisons

Saw a big box of lindt chocs in wilko for £7 instead of £14 today looked nice. Also what other poster said £5 thorntons and also ferrero rocher in morrisons :)

Supersized Thorntons for a fiver are never going to be nice. They're really not what they used to be.

M&S often have some nice ones on offer.

There were some amazing looking chocolates in Aldi this morning

M and s massive boxes of wrapped milk and plain truffles are down to £6. They are v similar to the Lindt balls.

The Aldi chocolates are fantastic. I bought someone the big Christmas wreath box. Honestly, they are as good as any push ones. I keep several if the small boxes in at this time of year -for eating- taking when visiting people.

Lots of Godiva chocolates are on offer in Sainsbury's at the moment. They aren't cheap in relation to a lot but they are beautiful

Celticlassie · 14/12/2017 20:57

Not tried them but Aldi truffles look amazing.

workatemylife · 14/12/2017 22:45

Brilliant!

MIL would probably go for a large box of Thorntons, but DH would be delighted with Godiva. I hadn't spotted M&S were discounted at the moment (yum) and the search for truffles means that I have just discovered that there is an Aldi about five minute from my work, just not in the direction that I usually travel. I was in Wilko at the weekend but didn't have chocolate on my mind at that point (unusually).

See what you've done - I clearly need to investigate all the possibilities and assemble a variety for scientific sampling and testing Xmas Grin

M&S have got good deals on chocolates at the moment - I bought some for the music teacher and Site Manager at DD’s school. I also saw a 15 percent code for Hotel Chocolat last week but I’m not sure how long that would have been vailed for. Also agree that Aldi has some nice artisan style chocolates in.
