Present idea for 14 year old dd

14 year old dd's presents are a bit light at the moment and include things she actually needs eg boots/trainers. Also got her a box set of musicals that she's asked for.

I'd like to get her something else that's a surprise. She loves drama and the theatre but I often go for theatre-themed presents so something a bit different. Other than that, she's difficult to buy for - doesn't do any sports, doesn't like craft stuff or making things, doesn't like cooking/baking, not really into make-up/toiletries.

What on earth do I get her?

A Polaroid camera? They are back in fashion and you get a pink one for £50 ish www.argos.co.uk/browse/technology/cameras-and-camcorders/cameras/instant-cameras/c:30194/

She's got one! Was a present a few years ago.

What about a ticket for a workshop related to a show? My experience is in ballet and sometimes the companies put on a workshop related to a performance. Not sure if musical theatre shows do the same?

Does she play an instrument?

MsHarry · 13/12/2017 17:59

An experience gift?

MsHarry · 13/12/2017 17:59

Books?

A nice perfume (my DD likes Daisy by Mark Jacobs)

A nice piece of jewellery (pandora ring or bangle)

Lovely hoodie (jack wills / Superdry / Hollister)

Does she like stationery? What about something for her room like cushions, snuggly blanket? Do you have Netflix?

Dancergirl · 13/12/2017 18:12

No she doesn't play an instrument. Yes we have Netflix.

Perfume might be an idea.

yankee candles or similar? Books/audiobooks? A course of drama school or dance lessons? A board game? If she likes acting this is goodwww.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moods-Adult-Board-Game-By-Hasbro-New-Sealed/282768505587?hash=item41d650faf3:g:-AUAAOSwX3FaLlqp Maybe one to play with her friends rather than parents!

Tickets to Hamilton?

Dancergirl · 13/12/2017 19:42

Tickets to Hamilton

Now that is something she would love! Is it still possible to get tickets? I thought it was sold out.

Maybe I'll go for jewellery. She usually wears stud earrings so maybe some small drops might be nice.

We bought a Sprocket which my daughter loves. She has a Polaroid but could never predict how photos would come out. The Sprocket prints out from an app where my daughter can edit and decorate all photos. Her and her friends spend hours on it. Great fun!
