We are away for most of next week. What can I buy and make now that I can freeze?

I've made and frozen cranberry sauce this week. I've bought all the cheeses with a long use by date. What sort of meals are you planning? Lots of buffet food can be made ahead and frozen.

I’m going to do mince pies, gravy and anything else I can do.

Once I have a bit of room in the freezer, I will be making mashed swede, potato croquettes and my mash and then freezing it all in disposable foil trays. I think my mum has on occasion blanched prepped veg and frozen it in bags too.

If I hadn’t ordered my butchers stuff to be picked up on 23rd, I would also be making my pigs in blankets and stuffing and freezing them both in foil trays, ready to just be popped in the oven.

I make profiteroles for pud, the Choux pastry can be made now and frozen, then defrosted filled and topped on Christmas morning,
