Sil's bf any ideas please?

Staying with sil after Xmas. Have bought gifts for her, the children and the dogs but am stuck on what to get her bf. They have been together a few years but I don't know him that well as he works overseas a lot and they live quite far away. It's only a token gift as we don't really do adults presents and don't want to embarrass anyone but as we are staying in their house we want to get a little something. So around £20 budget, he is early 40's, I don't really know what he is in to, he is an ex soldier. Any ideas?

Why don't you ask her for some ideas? Authors he likes to read, anything for his travel, food or drinks he likes?

I always find it puzzling that people are just not asking for hints or even proper wishes.

As I said we don't really do adult gifts. I just want a token gift for Sil and bf for having us stay with them. I can't ask sil as she will just say there is no need to get anything.

How about a board game that you could then all play on the day? An old classic like Pictionary or a newer Pie Face type one. Or a small hamper? Able & Cole do things like mulled wine kits, so you get the wine, the fruit, cloves etc. Or you could get some nice coffee and cups? I'm thinking along the lines of things that if he's not that into it you will all benefit anyway!
