Hello I really need some fresh ideas as I think I've just built this up in my head and making too bigger deal out of it. On Xmas day we are having a few family members round in the morning until 3ish, they are not having their main meal with us. Basically it's my mum, sis and bil and they are spending the day with us then meeting up with bils mum and brother going out for Xmas dinner at a fancy restaurant all together later on in the day. This suits us fine as we always prefer to eat later on the day anyway and with the kids, going out to restaurants are out of the picture. I've agreed to do nibbles in the day but have no idea what to do! I want to keep it light as everyone will obviously be eating a roast later on, I also have to cater for a vegetarian and gluten free person. Any ideas would be much appreciated please. Xxx

olive, feta & sun dried tomato on stick
pear and blue cheese on GF rye bread circle
Falafels (check ingredients if ready made but most are GF)

There are loads once you start looking.

This year I have vegan, nut-allergic and GF guests, which rules out cheese & nuts and is suddenly much harder. We will be having tortilla chips & dips, melon and blueberry, and some other things I haven't yet decided.

I’d put out houmous and crudités as a GF vegetarian option. But I genuinely think people crave fresh simple things at Christmas!
