Playmobil or Imaginext for 5 yo ds?

Which is better? Ds has no imaginative play toys so want to start for Christmas

He loves knex and Lego but was thinking of playmobil or imagnitext stuff

Any views welcomed

We have both, the imagintext stuff is a lot more robust and I think better for younger children. We have a rescue helicopter and an ocean explorer boat.

Playmobil

I would go for Playmobil at 5 - Ds is 6 and has some Imaginext but we never went all out on playsets as it does seem aimed at younger children. He had the Playmobil recycling truck at 3 and still plays with it; since he’s had the camper van, fire engine, and police van and they all get a lot of use, the camper especially is very good.

Playmobil. Then he can give it to his own kids, as I have! They seem to like the late-eighties campervan more than any of their own stuff.
