Budget around £50. It's for my sister, who is mid 30s, has a 9 month old baby and is about to go back to work. She will have a long train commute, is into cycling and camping. Usually I find her easy to buy for but am stumped this year so would really like your ideas for what you'd appreciate, in case it sparks something. Thank you

Kate spade handbag
Clarins hand cream
Pyjamas
Nice slippers
New purse
Scarf

crazycatgal · 09/12/2017 20:38

You can't get a Kate Spade handbag for £50.

A nice perfume
Skincare
Make-up
Jewellery

WasDoingFine · 09/12/2017 20:42

Cycling gloves/ socks/ top

Wiggle is a good website

Littlelambpeep · 09/12/2017 21:51

I just bought clarins shower products and they are lovely. The hand cream is also excellent

I think I would get her make up for going back to work - a nice mascara, lipstick, compact foundation if budget allows.

peachypetite · 09/12/2017 21:52

A flask for her commute?

MyBrilliantDisguise · 09/12/2017 21:52

Has she got a Kindle?

peachypetite · 09/12/2017 21:54

A Kate Spade handbag for £50 - where do you shop 😂

Doilooklikeatourist · 09/12/2017 21:54

I want a nice and sparkly bangle
( but I’m 57 , so what do I know )

LondonLassInTheCountry · 09/12/2017 21:58

Pj's
Boot slippers
Riding gloves
Reflective bike wear
A bike rain cover
Thermals
Rain cover for rucksak
Waterproofs

Gazelda · 09/12/2017 22:12

Fabulous dangly earrings
A spa day voucher
Magazine subscription
Luxurious hand cream
Cashmere gloves
Crossbody black leather bag. With plenty of pockets. Quite structured, but soft. Zipped. No gold coloured bits and bobs. Not too pricey, but I want to 'Feel' it cost more than M&S. I've been searching for years.

WasDoingFine · 09/12/2017 22:14

Does she do competitions? If so a medal holder

FoxInABox · 09/12/2017 22:16

I was going to suggest a kindle too, for her commute.
Perfume, Charlotte Tilbury face palette, there’s a Liz Earle skincare set half price in boots at the moment down to £30, I’ve also asked for a milk frother that also heats the milk up so I can make nice lattes and hot chocolates at home, something from pandora?

Fevertree · 09/12/2017 22:21

Pj's,
Slippers
Hand cream
Hair cut (voucher?)
Jamberry nail wraps
Lipstick
Hat, scarf and gloves
Voucher for a restaurant and promise to baby sit

Olecranon · 09/12/2017 22:21

I thought it was a thread about what I would like for Christmas that might provide inspiration. I didn't realise it was capped 😀

chocolatespiders · 09/12/2017 22:24

Origins day and night gift set from John Lewis

crazycatgal · 09/12/2017 22:30

She did say a budget of £50. Suggesting things over £200 is a bit unhelpful.

musicalmama · 09/12/2017 22:49

A mug for her to use at work with a picture of her baby on it.

That was the nicest present I got near my return to work.

longestlurkerever · 09/12/2017 22:51

Thanks, some good ideas here. The handbags are lovely, if over budget

RestingGrinchFace · 09/12/2017 22:53

Some nice soap and a scarf of a novel or something

SpinMill · 09/12/2017 22:55

An Audible or Readly subscription.

elephantoverthehill · 09/12/2017 23:01

What are Jamberry nail wraps? I will Google but will probably get a more honest explanation here.

Swirlingasong · 09/12/2017 23:01

Contigo thermos cup. They are pricey for a cup but so worth it. Drink keeps hot for ages (we can make coffee before going to bed while camping and wake up to warm coffee without leaving the sleeping bag), never leak even upside down in a rucksack and you can open and drink with one hand, and they go in the dishwasher. Perfect for commuting, camping and having a small child as long as she drinks hot drinks.

anothernetter · 09/12/2017 23:03

Nice teeth
Holiday
Spa break

elephantoverthehill · 09/12/2017 23:05

I did Google Jamberry nail wraps. I thought they would be some kind of nail strengthening wrap, but alas no. For your sister I would suggest a cycle helmet cam.
