Not glamorous in the least but I've just bought Gabrielle by Chanel as a Christmas present for myself! It's really lovely.

So nice to see a thread about glamorous women of that age - there are so many who see women of a certain age as old and worthy only of twee crap.

I'm 57 and have suggested to my dcs a Bobbi Brown eye palette, red leather gloves and Silent Pool gin.
I like non mainstream perfume ..Hermes Twilly is nice.
I'd also like theatre vouchers, a life sized cut out of Noel Gallagher and theatre biographies.

My mum would love almost anything from L'occitane

Am ridiculously glamorous - but my wish list is so specific it would announce my existence to all my relatives - soz ...

Budget £200ish for MIL, £50 ish for Aunt.

Theatre vouchers a brilliant idea for Aunt actually, think that's her sorted as I'm less sure about her taste.

Something specific to me, not my age group. So not bath smellies or chocolate, but, for example, a game, a book you know I'll enjoy, a strap for my Fitbit, something clever for camping...

I've always wanted to be the sort of person who wears enough make up to make a Tom Ford brush set a worthwhile aspiration. But I'm not. Perhaps your MIL is?

Sowething tiny from Hermès, Céline, Acne Studios, Margiela ... Or books from my Amazon list. It's too late to order niche perfume or the earrrings from far, far away. Wouldn't mind being 'friends' with various galleries or theatres - but inevitably it would mean they'd have nothing I want to see all year.

My younger relatives aren't quite old enough to take the initiative in inviting me out - but that would be lovely if/when it happens.

Santa is getting something from jo Malone, a pair of heist tights and a box of expensive dark chocolates.

Ophir or Hendricks gin, fever tree tonic, Chanel no 5, afternoon tea, bottles of wine, large galaxy selection box!

I am getting a Lulu Guinness lips purse (I lured my DH towards during the sale)

I am hoping for some REN rose cleansing water and a Russian Red Mac lipstick

I would love a bottle of Angel perfume or Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf

The Vintage Tea Party Yearbook or the Vintage Sweets book as I have been watching Escape to the Chateau and love Angel's style.

I would also love the impossibly glam Street Map print dressing gown Nigella Lawson (78.00 on Caroline Gardiner) wore on her recent show.

54 here. would second anything cashmere or from Jo Malone . Also love mulberry -£200 would get you a purse or a lovely scarf . vouchers to eat out . it depends on their tastes .

I am a glamorous 50+...i am getting a track day racing my vintage sports car...

I am also after a new surfboard and hopefully a chocolate tasting experience with hotel chocolat

Last Christmas I got a sheep shearing course.

50+ and glam does not = perfume and jo malone..

The tantrum I'd throw if anyone dared to give me an activity day would certainly be far from glamorous.

Kind of like organising my own life ...

Hmm ... I guess it partly depends on the attitudes of one's family and friends towards present giving - and one's relationship to gift givers. I'm more likely to take up dry stone walling or tree planting than sheep-shearing (and have no opinion on the relative glamour of any of these) but firstly, the people I spend Christmas with prefer to see me opening a 'thing' - and secondly - (and maybe I'm secretive or too anti -social) I like having sole dominion over what I do. Not keen on the thought of someone else being able to cross examine me on whether I've taken up the wonderful opportunity they have paid for.

My DM likes buying me technology. But I can't think of anything techy I want this year.
