Wow present for 8 yo boy

I’ve got ds a few small things but I’m stuck on what to get him for his main present.

He asked for a nerf nitro thing and some hot wheels stuff but grandparents have snaffled those ideas.

I’m stuck. His sister has a big present and a few small ones so I need to get him something wow but he has no clue when I ask him and everything on his Santa list has been purchased.

Help!! He likes cars, Lego (rarely) playing outside, minecraft on iPad etc

If you go onto Argos and search the word "parrot" it'll bring you up the parrot range, take a look through at what would compatible with his tablet, some run through Bluetooth and they can be used indoors and outdoors .

Trip to do something? Theme park/ London or similar? And then just a couple of little associated presents?

Or an out door toy? Ours are getting a trampoline...

If he's a big Minecraft fan look into getting him a Quixels 3D set. My 7 year old minecraft-mad son adores this... it's little coloured plastic squares that you use to build 3d models (like Minecraft but in real life!) then you spray them with water and they stick together. It's been our best ever birthday present so far this year.

My 8 year old DS has just started guitar lessons and is getting an electric guitar. He's got an acoustic and thinks he's not allowed an electric yet so will be very chuffed.

I've been suggesting the invent your own droid to everyone I know - I want one :)

I was stuck for my ds7, until I found a metal detector. DM is sending a Roman coin to bury in the garden and I’ve already asked farming friends for fields we can go and search in. Ds would have loved his own tablet but I wanted something that would get him outdoors!

Go-pro camera or a cheaper alternative? Drone with camera?

Oh metal detector was a massive hit with my DS BUT it turned out to be a bit shoddy. LeNil I would strongly advise you to test it first!

Did you see the Anglo Saxon haul a detectorist student found - was in guardian today. Can you imagine finding a piece of history? Otoh, lots of weekends spent taking your dc to muddy fields :)

We've got DS2 who is 7 the Anki Overdrive as well...it looks amazing.

His birthday was a few weeks ago and he got a Garmin Viofit Junior activity band thing (the older one not the new sort) and he loves it.
